 حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اَلْوَاحِدِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عُبْدُوسٍ اَلْعَطَّارُ اَلنَّيْسَابُورِيُّ رَضِيَ اَللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ قُتَيْبَةَ عَنِ اَلْفَضْلِ بْنِ شَاذَانَ قَالَ قَالَ عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُوسَى اَلرِّضَا ع مَنْ أَقَرَّ بِتَوْحِيدِ اَللَّهِ وَ نَفَى اَلتَّشْبِيهَ عَنْهُ وَ نَزَّهَهُ عَمَّا لاَ يَلِيقُ بِهِ وَ أَقَرَّ بِأَنَّ لَهُ اَلْحَوْلَ وَ اَلْقُوَّةَ وَ اَلْإِرَادَةَ وَ اَلْمَشِيَّةَ وَ اَلْخَلْقَ وَ اَلْأَمْرَ وَ اَلْقَضَاءَ وَ اَلْقَدَرَ وَ أَنَّ أَفْعَالَ اَلْعِبَادِ مَخْلُوقَةٌ خَلْقَ تَقْدِيرٍ لاَ خَلْقَ تَكْوِينٍ وَ شَهِدَ أَنَّ مُحَمَّداً رَسُولُ اَللَّهِ وَ أَنَّ عَلِيّاً وَ اَلْأَئِمَّةَ بَعْدَهُ حُجَجُ اَللَّهِ وَ وَالَى أَوْلِيَاءَهُمْ وَ اِجْتَنَبَ اَلْكَبَائِرَ وَ أَقَرَّوَ اَلْمُتْعَتَيْنِ وَ آمَنَ‌وَ اَلْمُسَاءَلَةِ فِي اَلْقَبْرِ وَ اَلْحَوْضِ وَ اَلشَّفَاعَةِ وَ خَلْقِ اَلْجَنَّةِ وَ اَلنَّارِ وَ اَلصِّرَاطِ وَ اَلْمِيزَانِ وَ اَلْبَعْثِ وَ اَلنُّشُورِ وَ اَلْجَزَاءِ وَ اَلْحِسَابِ فَهُوَ مُؤْمِنٌ حَقّاً وَ هُوَ مِنْ شِيعَتِنَا أَهْلَ اَلْبَيْتِ .

 Abdul-Wahid bin Mohammed bin Abdous al-Attar an-Nisapuri, Allah may please him narrated to us from Ali bin Mohammed bin Qutaiba from al-Fadhl bin Shathan that Ali bin Musa ar-Ridha (a) said: For anyone who declares the oneness of Allah, denies His being anthropomorphized, deems Him far above that whichever does not fit Him, declares that might, power, will, volition, creation, authority, and acts-all are in the possession of Allah, believes that the acts of the servants (the planning for the acts, not their bringing into being) are created, declares that Mohammed (s) is the messenger of Allah and Ali and the Imams who follow him are the arguments of Allah (against the creatures), supports their disciples, antagonizes their enemies, avoids committing the grand sins, believes in rajaa and the two mut’as, and has faith in the Prophet’s Midnight Ascension, the tomb interrogation, the Divine Pool, the right of intercession, the creation of Paradise and Hell, the Path, the Balance, the raising from the death, and the Resurrection, he is surely believer and one of our Shia-the Shia of the Prophet’s household.
