  , حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَحْيَى اَلْعَطَّارُ رَحِمَهُ اَللَّهُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي عَنْ عَبْدِ اَللَّهِ بْنِ مُسْكَانَ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اَللَّهِ ع قَالَ : إِنَّ اَللَّهَ تَبَارَكَ وَ تَعَالَى خَصَّ رَسُولَ اَللَّهِ ص بِمَكَارِمِ اَلْأَخْلاَقِ فَامْتَحِنُوا أَنْفُسَكُمْ فَإِنْ كَانَتْ فِيكُمْ فَاحْمَدُوا اَللَّهَ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ وَ اِرْغَبُوا إِلَيْهِ فِي اَلزِّيَادَةِ مِنْهَا فَذَكَرَهَا عَشَرَةً اَلْيَقِينَ وَ اَلْقَنَاعَةَ وَ اَلصَّبْرَ وَ اَلشُّكْرَ وَ اَلْحِلْمَ وَ حُسْنَ اَلْخُلُقِ وَ اَلسَّخَاءَ وَ اَلْغَيْرَةَ وَ اَلشَّجَاعَةَ وَ اَلْمُرُوءَةَ.

 Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Yahya al-Attar, Allah may have mercy upon him, narrated to us from his father from Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Easa from Othman bin Easa from Abdullah bin Meskan that Abu Abdullah (a) said: Allah, Blessed and Exalted is He, has given the Prophet (s) the nobilities of character exclusively. You should test yourselves through such characters. If you have them all, you should thank Allah and seek more. These are ten: conviction, satisfaction, tolerance, thankfulness, clemency, good mannerism, openhandedness, sense of honor, courage, and personality.
