1 حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي وَ جَمَاعَةٌ ره عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ رَجُلٍ قَالَ بَعَثَ إِلَيَّ أَبُو الْحَسَنِ الرِّضَا (ع) مِنْ خُرَاسَانَ ثِيَابَ رِزَمٍ وَ كَانَ بَيْنَ ذَلِكَ طِينٌ فَقُلْتُ لِلرَّسُولِ مَا هَذَا قَالَ طِينُ قَبْرِ الْحُسَيْنِ (ع) مَا كَانَ يُوَجِّهُ شَيْئاً مِنَ الثِّيَابِ وَ لَا غَيْرِهِ إِلَّا وَ يَجْعَلُ فِيهِ الطِّينَ وَ كَانَ يَقُولُ هُوَ أَمَانٌ بِإِذْنِ اللَّهِ

1. My father and a group narrated to me from Sa’d ibn ‘Abdillāh, from Muĥammad ibn ‘Isā, from someone, who said: Abul Ĥasan (Imam Riďā (a.s.)) sent me some clothes that were wrapped up, in the middle of which there was some clay. I asked the person who had brought the clothes about this clay. He said, “It is the clay of the grave of Ĥusain (a.s.). He (Imam Riďā (a.s.)) does not send clothes or anything else to anyone without putting some of this clay within it and he says, ‘It is protection with the permission of Allāh.”

2 حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ الرَّزَّازُ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ أَبِي الْخَطَّابِ عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ سَعْدَانَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْقَاسِمِ عَنِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ أَبِي الْعَلَاءِ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ (ع) يَقُولُ حَنِّكُوا أَوْلَادَكُمْ بِتُرْبَةِ الْحُسَيْنِ (ع) فَإِنَّهُ أَمَانٌ

2. Muĥammad ibn Ja’far Al-Razzāz narrated to me from Muĥammad ibn Ĥusain ibn Abil Khaťťāb, from Mūsā ibn Sa’dān, from ‘Abdillāh ibn Qāsim, from Ĥusain ibn Abil ‘Alā, who said: I heard Abā ‘Abdillāh (Imam Šādiq (a.s.)) say: Make the first thing which is rubbed on the palate of your (newborn) babies the clay of (the grave of) Ĥusain (a.s.), for verily it is protection.

3 حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي ره عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ أَيُّوبَ بْنِ نُوحٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْيَسَعِ قَالَ سَأَلَ رَجُلٌ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ (ع) وَ أَنَا أَسْمَعُ قَالَ آخُذُ مِنْ طِينِ قَبْرِ الْحُسَيْنِ يَكُونُ عِنْدِي أَطْلُبُ بَرَكَتَهُ قَالَ لَا بَأْسَ بِذَلِكَ

3. My father narrated to me from Sa’d ibn ‘Abdillāh, from Ayyūb ibn Nūĥ, from ‘Abdillāh ibn Mughǐrah, from Abil Yasa’, who said: I heard a man ask Abā ‘Abdillāh (Imam Šādiq (a.s.)), “Can I take some of the clay of the grave of Ĥusain (a.s.) and keep it with me to seek blessings from it?” Imam (a.s.) replied, “There is nothing wrong with that.”

4 وَ عَنْهُ عَنْ سَعْدٍ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنِ الْعَبَّاسِ بْنِ مُوسَى الْوَرَّاقِ عَنْ يُونُسَ عَنْ عِيسَى بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ عَنْ عَمَّتِهِ قُلْتُ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ (ع) يَقُولُ إِنَّ فِي طِينِ الْحَائِرِ الَّذِي فِيهِ الْحُسَيْنُ (ع) شِفَاءً مِنْ كُلِّ دَاءٍ وَ أَمَاناً مِنْ كُلِّ خَوْفٍ

4. My father narrated to me from Sa’d, from Aĥmad ibn Muĥammad ibn ‘Isā, from ‘Abbās ibn Mūsā Al-Warrāq, from Yūnus, from ‘Isā ibn Sulaymān, from Muĥammad ibn Ziyād, from his aunt, who said: I heard Abā ‘Abdillāh (Imam Šādiq (a.s.)) say: Verily the clay of the Ĥā`ir, where Ĥusain (a.s.) is buried, is the cure for every disease and it is protection against any fear.

5 وَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي ره عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ إِدْرِيسَ وَ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَحْيَى عَنِ الْعَمْرَكِيِّ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ الْبُوفَكِيِّ عَنْ يَحْيَى وَ كَانَ فِي خِدْمَةِ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ الثَّانِي عَنْ عِيسَى بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مَارِدٍ عَنْ عَمَّتِهِ قَالَتْ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ (ع) يَقُولُ إِنَّ فِي طِينِ الْحَائِرِ الَّذِي فِيهِ الْحُسَيْنُ (ع) شِفَاءً مِنْ كُلِّ دَاءٍ وَ أَمَاناً مِنْ كُلِّ خَوْفٍ

5. My father narrated to me from Aĥmad ibn Idrǐs, and from Muĥammad ibn Yaĥyā, from ‘Amraki ibn ‘Ali Al-Būfaki, from Yaĥyā – who was the servant of Abǐ Ja’far the Second (Imam Jawād (a.s.)), from ‘Isā ibn Sulaymān, from Muĥammad ibn Mārid, from his aunt, who said: I heard Abā ‘Abdillāh (Imam Šādiq (a.s.)) say: Verily the clay of the Ĥā`ir, where Ĥusain (a.s.) is buried, is the cure for every disease and it is protection against any fear.

6 حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْمَاعِيلَ عَنِ الْخَيْبَرِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي وَلَّادٍ عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرٍ الْحَضْرَمِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ (ع) قَالَ لَوْ أَنَّ مَرِيضاً مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ يَعْرِفُ حَقَّ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ وَ حُرْمَتَهُ وَ وَلَايَتَهُ أُخِذَ لَهُ مِنْ طِينِ قَبْرِهِ عَلَى رَأْسِ مِيلٍ كَانَ لَهُ دَوَاءً وَ شِفَاءً

6. Muĥammad ibn Ja’far narrated to me from Muĥammad ibn Ĥusain, from Muĥammad ibn Ismā’ǐl, from Al-Khaybari, from Abǐ Wallād, from Abǐ Bakr Al-Ĥaďrami, who said: Abū ‘Abdillāh (Imam Šādiq (a.s.)) said: If a believer, who suffers from an illness and who believes in the rights of Abǐ ‘Abdillāh (Imam Ĥusain (a.s.)) and believes in his sanctity and divine authority, uses some of the clay of the grave of Ĥusain (a.s.), he will be treated and cured by it even if the clay is collected from a distance of one mile away (from the grave of Ĥusain (a.s.)).
