1 حَدَّثَنِي الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ مَحْبُوبٍ عَنْ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ عَمَّارٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ (ع) يَقُولُ مَوْضِعُ قَبْرِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ (ع) مُنْذُ يَوْمَ دُفِنَ فِيهِ رَوْضَةٌ مِنْ رِيَاضِ الْجَنَّةِ وَ قَالَ مَوْضِعُ قَبْرِ الْحُسَيْنِ (ع) تُرْعَةٌ مِنْ تُرَعِ الْجَنَّةِ

1. Ĥasan ibn ‘Abdillāh ibn Muĥammad ibn ‘Isā narrated to me from his father ‘Abdillāh ibn Muĥammad ibn ‘Isā, from Ĥasan ibn Maĥbūb, from Isĥāq ibn ‘Ammār, who said: I heard Abā ‘Abdillāh (Imam Šādiq (a.s.)) say, “The location of the grave of Ĥusain ibn ‘Ali (a.s.) has been a garden from the gardens of Paradise since the day he was buried in it.” I also heard him say, “The location of the grave of Ĥusain (a.s.) is an oasis from the oases of Paradise.”

2 حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي وَ جَمَاعَةُ مَشَايِخِي عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ الْيَقْطِينِيِّ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْمَاعِيلَ الْبَصْرِيِّ عَمَّنْ رَوَاهُ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع قَالَ حُرْمَةُ قَبْرِ الْحُسَيْنِ فَرْسَخٌ فِي فَرْسَخٍ مِنْ أَرْبَعَةِ جَوَانِبِهِ

2. My father and all of my scholars narrated to me from Sa’d ibn ‘Abdillāh, from Muĥammad ibn ‘Isā ibn ‘Ubayd Al-Yaqťǐni, from Muĥammad ibn Ismā’ǐl Al-Bašri, from someone who narrated to him, who said: Abū ‘Abdillāh (Imam Šādiq (a.s.)) said: The sacred boundaries of the grave of Ĥusain (a.s.) are one parasang by one parasang from each of its four sides.

3 حَدَّثَنِي حَكِيمُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ بْنِ حَكِيمٍ (رحمه الله) عَنْ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ عَنْ مَنْصُورِ بْنِ الْعَبَّاسِ يَرْفَعُهُ إِلَى أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ (ع) قَالَ حَرَمُ قَبْرِ الْحُسَيْنِ (ع) خَمْسُ فَرَاسِخَ مِنْ أَرْبَعَةِ جَوَانِبِ الْقَبْرِ

3. Ĥukaym ibn Dāwūd ibn Ĥukaym narrated to me from Salamah ibn Khaťťāb, from Manšūr ibn ‘Abbās, who narrated that: Abū ‘Abdillāh (Imam Šādiq (a.s.)) said: The sacred boundary of the grave of Ĥusain (a.s.) is five parasangs from each of the four sides of the grave.

4 حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ الرَّزَّازُ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ أَبِي الْخَطَّابِ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ مَحْبُوبٍ عَنْ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ عَمَّارٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ (ع) يَقُولُ إِنَّ لِمَوْضِعِ قَبْرِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ (ع) حُرْمَةً مَعْلُومَةً- مَنْ عَرَفَهَا وَ اسْتَجَارَ بِهَا أُجِيرَ قُلْتُ فَصِفْ لِي مَوْضِعَهَا جُعِلْتُ فِدَاكَ قَالَ امْسَحْ مِنْ مَوْضِعِ قَبْرِهِ الْيَوْمَ فَامْسَحْ خَمْسَةً وَ عِشْرِينَ ذِرَاعاً مِنْ نَاحِيَةِ رِجْلَيْهِ- وَ خَمْسَةً وَ عِشْرِينَ ذِرَاعاً مِمَّا يَلِي وَجْهَهُ وَ خَمْسَةً وَ عِشْرِينَ ذِرَاعاً مِنْ خَلْفِهِ وَ خَمْسَةً وَ عِشْرِينَ ذِرَاعاً مِنْ نَاحِيَةِ رَأْسِهِ وَ مَوْضِعُ قَبْرِهِ مُنْذُ يَوْمَ دُفِنَ رَوْضَةٌ مِنْ رِيَاضِ الْجَنَّةِ وَ مِنْهُ مِعْرَاجٌ يُعْرَجُ فِيهِ بِأَعْمَالِ زُوَّارِهِ إِلَى السَّمَاءِ فَلَيْسَ مَلَكٌ وَ لَا نَبِيٌّ فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ إِلَّا وَ هُمْ يَسْأَلُونَ اللَّهَ أَنْ يَأْذَنَ لَهُمْ فِي زِيَارَةِ قَبْرِ الْحُسَيْنِ (ع) فَفَوْجٌ يَنْزِلُ وَ فَوْجٌ يَعْرُجُ

4. Muĥammad ibn Ja’far Al-Razzāz narrated to me from Muĥammad ibn Ĥusain ibn Abil Khaťťāb, from Ĥasan ibn Maĥbūb, from Isĥāq ibn ‘Ammār, who said: I heard Abā ‘Abdillāh (Imam Šādiq (a.s.)) say: Verily there is a known boundary for the location of the grave of Ĥusain ibn ‘Ali (a.s.) and whoever knows it and seeks refuge in it will be protected. I said, “May I sacrifice myself for you! Describe its boundary for me.” Imam (a.s.) replied, “According to the current location of his grave, measure twenty-five ells from the direction of his feet, twenty-five ells from the direction of his face, twenty-five ells from the direction of his back, and twenty-five ells from the direction of his head.” Imam (a.s.) added: The location of the grave of Ĥusain (a.s.) has been a garden from the gardens of Paradise since the day he was buried and the deeds of his Zuwwār ascend to the heavens from this location. There is not any prophet nor any angel in the heavens who does not ask Allāh for permission to go to the Ziyārah of the grave of Ĥusain (a.s.). Therefore, there is always a crowd descending (to go to his Ziyārah) and a crowd ascending (back to the heavens).

5 حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي وَ جَمَاعَةُ مَشَايِخِي ره عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ هَارُونَ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْأَشْعَثِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ حَمَّادٍ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ سِنَانٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ (ع) قَالَ سَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ قَبْرُ الْحُسَيْنِ (ع) عِشْرُونَ ذِرَاعاً فِي عِشْرِينَ ذِرَاعاً مُكَسَّراً رَوْضَةٌ مِنْ رِيَاضِ الْجَنَّةِ وَ ذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ وَ عَنْهُ عَنْ سَعْدٍ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ الْوَشَّاءِ عَنْ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ عَمَّارٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ (ع) مِثْلَهُ

5. My father and all of my scholars narrated to me from Sa’d ibn ‘Abdillāh, from Hārūn ibn Muslim, from ‘Abdil Raĥmān ibn Ash’ath, from ‘Abdillāh ibn Ĥammād Al-Anšāri, from ‘Abdillāh ibn Sinān, who said: I heard Abā ‘Abdillāh (Imam Šādiq (a.s.)) say: The boundaries of the grave of Ĥusain (a.s.) are twenty ells by twenty ells and this location is a garden from the gardens of Paradise… The above Ĥadǐth has also been narrated to me through the following chain: My father, from Sa’d (ibn ‘Abdillāh), from Aĥmad ibn Muĥammad, from Ĥasan ibn ‘Ali Al-Washā, from Isĥāq ibn ‘Ammār, from Abǐ ‘Abdillāh (a.s.).
