1 حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي وَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ عَنِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ حَسَنِ بْنِ أَبَانٍ عَنِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ الْجَوْهَرِيِّ عَنْ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ هَارُونَ بْنِ خَارِجَةَ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ (ع) قَالَ سَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ وَكَّلَ اللَّهُ بِقَبْرِ الْحُسَيْنِ (ع) أَرْبَعَةَ آلَافِ مَلَكٍ شُعْثاً غُبْراً يَبْكُونَهُ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ فَمَنْ زَارَهُ عَارِفاً بِحَقِّهِ شَيَّعُوهُ حَتَّى يُبْلِغُوهُ مَأْمَنَهُ وَ إِنْ مَرِضَ عَادُوهُ غُدْوَةً وَ عَشِيَّةً وَ إِنْ مَاتَ شَهِدُوا جِنَازَتَهُ وَ اسْتَغْفَرُوا لَهُ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ

1. My father and Muĥammad ibn Ĥasan both narrated to me from Ĥusain ibn Ĥasan ibn Abān, from Ĥusain ibn Sa’ǐd, from Qāsim ibn Muĥammad Al-Jawhari, from Isĥāq ibn Ibrāhǐm, from Hārūn ibn Khārijah, who said: I heard Abā ‘Abdillāh (Imam Šādiq (a.s.)) say: Allāh has dedicated four thousand angels to the grave of Ĥusain (a.s.) who are disheveled and covered with dust who cry over him (and will continue to do so) until the Day of Judgment. These angels will accompany those who go to the Ziyārah of Ĥusain (a.s.), while knowing his rights, until they arrive at their safe haven. And if they become ill, the angels will visit them every morning and evening. And when they die, the angels will attend their funerals and seek forgiveness for them until the Day of Judgment.

2 حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ بَزِيعٍ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْمَاعِيلَ السَّرَّاجِ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ مَعْمَرٍ الْعَطَّارِ عَنْ أَبِي بَصِيرٍ عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ (ع) قَالَ أَرْبَعَةُ آلَافِ مَلَكٍ شُعْثٌ غُبْرٌ يَبْكُونَ الْحُسَيْنَ (ع) إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ فَلَا يَأْتِيهِ أَحَدٌ إِلَّا اسْتَقْبَلُوهُ وَ لَا يَرْجِعُ أَحَدٌ مِنْ عِنْدِهِ إِلَّا شَيَّعُوهُ وَ لَا يَمْرَضُ أَحَدٌ إِلَّا عَادُوهُ وَ لَا يَمُوتُ أَحَدٌ إِلَّا شَهِدُوهُ وَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي ره عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ بَزِيعٍ بِإِسْنَادِهِ مِثْلَهُ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي عَنْ سَعْدٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ سَعْدَانَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْقَاسِمِ عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ أَبَانٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ (ع) مِثْلَهُ

2. Muĥammad ibn Ja’far narrated to me from Muĥammad ibn Ĥusain, from Muĥammad ibn Ismā’ǐl ibn Bazǐ’, from Abǐ Ismā’ǐl Al-Sarrāj, from Yaĥyā ibn Mu’ammar Al-‘Aťťār, from Abǐ Bašǐr, who said: Abū Ja’far (Imam Bāqir (a.s.)) said: There are four thousand angels who are disheveled and covered with dust who cry over Ĥusain (a.s.) (and will continue to do so) until the Day of Judgment. These angels come to receive everyone who goes to the Ziyārah of Ĥusain (a.s.), accompany everyone who returns from his Ziyārah, visit them if they become ill, and attend their funerals when they die. The above Ĥadǐth has also been narrated to me through the following chains: A) My father, from Sa’d ibn ‘Abdillāh, from Aĥmad ibn Muĥammad ibn ‘Isā, from Muĥammad ibn Ismā’ǐl ibn Bazǐ’, from Abǐ Ismā’ǐl Al-Sarrāj, from Yaĥyā ibn Mu’ammar Al-‘Aťťār, from Abǐ Bašǐr, from Abǐ Ja’far (a.s.). B) My father, from Sa’d ibn ‘Abdillāh, from Muĥammad ibn Ĥusain, from Mūsā ibn Sa’dān, from ‘Abdillāh ibn Qāsim, from ‘Umar ibn Abān, from Abǐ ‘Abdillāh (Imam Šādiq (a.s.)).

3 حَدَّثَنِي جَعْفَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ نَهِيكٍ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ سَلَمَةَ صَاحِبِ السَّابِرِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي الصَّبَّاحِ الْكِنَانِيِّ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ (ع) يَقُولُ إِنَّ إِلَى جَانِبِكُمْ قَبْراً مَا أَتَاهُ مَكْرُوبٌ إِلَّا نَفَّسَ اللَّهُ كُرْبَتَهُ وَ قَضَى حَاجَتَهُ وَ إِنَّ عِنْدَهُ أَرْبَعَةَ أَلْفِ مَلَكٍ مُنْذُ يَوْمَ قُبِضَ شُعْثاً غُبْراً يَبْكُونَهُ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ فَمَنْ زَارَهُ شَيَّعُوهُ وَ مَنْ مَرِضَ عَادُوهُ وَ مَنْ مَاتَ اتَّبَعُوا جِنَازَتَهُ

3. Ja’far ibn Muĥammad ibn Ibrāhǐm narrated to me from ‘Abdillāh ibn Nahǐk, from Ibn Abǐ ‘Umayr, from Salamah Šāĥib Al-Sāburi, from Abil Šabbāĥ Al-Kināni, who said: I heard Abā ‘Abdillāh (Imam Šādiq (a.s.)) say: Verily there is a grave near you to which no anguished person goes without Allāh removing his anguish and fulfilling his requests. Verily there are four thousand angels next to his grave (who have been there) since the day his life was taken. They are disheveled, covered with dust, and they cry over him (and will continue to do so) until the Day of Judgment. These angels accompany those who go to the Ziyārah of Ĥusain (a.s.) (back to their safe haven). If they become ill, the angels will visit them. And when they die, the angels will follow their corpses in their funerals.

4 حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي وَ جَمَاعَةُ مَشَايِخِي عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَحْيَى الْعَطَّارِ عَنْ حَمْدَانَ بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ النَّيْسَابُورِيِّ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ الْيَمَانِيِّ عَنْ مَنِيعِ بْنِ الْحَجَّاجِ عَنْ يُونُسَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ صَفْوَانَ الْجَمَّالِ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ (ع) قَالَ إِنَّ الرَّجُلَ إِذَا خَرَجَ مِنْ مَنْزِلِهِ يُرِيدُ زِيَارَةَ الْحُسَيْنِ (ع) شَيَّعَتْهُ سَبْعُمِائَةِ مَلَكٍ مِنْ فَوْقِ رَأْسِهِ وَ مِنْ تَحْتِهِ وَ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ وَ عَنْ شِمَالِهِ وَ مِنْ بَيْنِ يَدَيْهِ وَ مِنْ خَلْفِهِ حَتَّى يُبْلِغُوهُ مَأْمَنَهُ فَإِذَا زَارَ الْحُسَيْنَ (ع) نَادَاهُ مُنَادٍ قَدْ غُفِرَ لَكَ فَاسْتَأْنِفِ الْعَمَلَ ثُمَّ يَرْجِعُونَ مَعَهُ مُشَيِّعِينَ لَهُ إِلَى مَنْزِلِهِ فَإِذَا صَارُوا إِلَى مَنْزِلِهِ قَالُوا نَسْتَوْدِعُكَ اللَّهَ- فَلَا يَزَالُونَ يَزُورُونَهُ إِلَى يَوْمِ مَمَاتِهِ ثُمَّ يَزُورُونَ قَبْرَ الْحُسَيْنِ (ع) فِي كُلِّ يَوْمٍ وَ ثَوَابُ ذَلِكَ لِلرَّجُلِ

4. My father and all of my scholars narrated to me from Muĥammad ibn Yaĥyā Al-‘Aťťār, from Ĥamdān ibn Sulaymān Al-Naysābūri, from ‘Abdillāh ibn Muĥammad Al-Yamāni, from Manǐ’ ibn Ĥajjāj, from Yūnus ibn ‘Abdil Raĥmān, from Šafwān Al-Jammāl, who said: Abū ‘Abdillāh (Imam Šādiq (a.s.)) said: When a man leaves his house to go to the Ziyārah of Ĥusain (a.s.), seven hundred angels will accompany him who will be over his head, under his feet, to his right, to his left, in front of him, and behind him until he arrives at his safe haven. After he performs the Ziyārah of Ĥusain (a.s.), a caller will call out to him, “You have been forgiven. Therefore, continue with good deeds.” These angels will accompany him back to his house. When they arrive at his house, they will say to him, “We leave you in Allāh’s protection.” These angels will visit him continuously until he dies. Thereafter, they will go to the Ziyārah of the grave of Ĥusain (a.s.) everyday, the reward of which will be registered for that man.

5 وَ عَنْهُ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَحْيَى بِإِسْنَادِهِ إِلَى مَنِيعٍ عَنْ زِيَادٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُسْكَانَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ الْحَلَبِيِّ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ (ع) يَقُولُ إِنَّ اللَّهَ وَكَّلَ بِقَبْرِ الْحُسَيْنِ (ع) أَرْبَعَةَ آلَافِ مَلَكٍ شُعْثاً غُبْراً إِلَى أَنْ تَقُومَ السَّاعَةُ يُشَيِّعُونَ مَنْ زَارَهُ يَعُودُونَهُ إِذَا مَرِضَ وَ يَشْهَدُونَ جِنَازَتَهُ إِذَا مَاتَ

5. My father narrated to me from Muĥammad ibn Yaĥyā, from Ĥamdān ibn Sulaymān Al-Naysābūri, from ‘Abdillāh ibn Muĥammad Al-Yamāni, from Manǐ’ (ibn Ĥajjāj), from Ziyād, from ‘Abdillāh ibn Muskān, from Muĥammad Al-Ĥalabi, who said: I heard Abā ‘Abdillāh (Imam Šādiq (a.s.)) say: Verily Allāh has dedicated four thousand angels to the grave of Ĥusain (a.s.) who are disheveled and covered with dust until the rising of the Hour. These angels accompany everyone who goes to the Ziyārah of Ĥusain (a.s.), visit them if they become ill, and attend their funerals when they die.

6 حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ الْوَلِيدٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْحَسَنِ الصَّفَّارِ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِيِّ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ عَنِ الْعَبَّاسِ بْنِ عَامِرٍ عَنْ أَبَانٍ عَنْ أَبِي حَمْزَةَ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ (ع) قَالَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ وَكَّلَ بِقَبْرِ الْحُسَيْنِ (ع) أَرْبَعَةَ آلَافِ مَلَكٍ شُعْثاً غُبْراً فَلَمْ يَزَلْ يَبْكُونَهُ مِنْ طُلُوعِ الْفَجْرِ إِلَى زَوَالِ الشَّمْسِ فَإِذَا زَالَتِ الشَّمْسُ هَبَطَ أَرْبَعَةُ آلَافِ مَلَكٍ وَ صَعِدَ أَرْبَعَةُ آلَافِ مَلَكٍ فَلَمْ يَزَلْ يَبْكُونَهُ حَتَّى يَطْلُعَ الْفَجْرُ وَ يَشْهَدُونَ لِمَنْ زَارَهُ وَ يُشَيِّعُونَهُ بِالْوَفَاءِ إِلَى أَهْلِهِ وَ يَعُودُونَهُ إِذَا مَرِضَ وَ يُصَلُّونَ عَلَيْهِ إِذَا مَاتَ

6. Muĥammad ibn Ĥasan ibn Aĥmad ibn Walǐd narrated to me from Muĥammad ibn Ĥasan Al-Šaffār, from Ĥasan ibn ‘Ali ibn ‘Abdillāh ibn Mughǐrah, from ‘Abbās ibn ‘Āmir, from Abān, from Abǐ Ĥamzah (Al-Thumāli), who said: Abū ‘Abdillāh (Imam Šādiq (a.s.)) said: Verily Allāh has dedicated four thousand angels to the grave of Ĥusain (a.s.) who are disheveled and covered with dust. They cry over Ĥusain (a.s.) from dawn until midday, at which point they ascend to the heavens and they are replaced with another four thousand angels who cry over him until dawn. These angels will testify to the loyalty of those who go to the Ziyārah of Ĥusain (a.s.), will accompany them back to their families, visit them if they become ill, and establish prayers on them when they die.

7 حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي وَ جَمَاعَةُ مَشَايِخِي عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ الْبَرْقِيِّ عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ يَحْيَى عَنْ جَدِّهِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ رَاشِدٍ عَنْ أَبِي إِبْرَاهِيمَ (ع) قَالَ مَنْ خَرَجَ مِنْ بَيْتِهِ يُرِيدُ زِيَارَةَ قَبْرِ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْحُسَيْنِ (ع) وَكَّلَ اللَّهُ بِهِ مَلَكاً يَضَعُ [فَوَضَعَ] إِصْبَعَهُ فِي قَفَاهُ فَلَمْ يَزَلْ يَكْتُبُ مَا يَخْرُجُ مِنْ فِيهِ حَتَّى يَرِدَ الْحَائِرَ [الْحَيْرَ] فَإِذَا دَخَلَ مِنْ بَابِ الْحَائِرِ [الْحَيْرِ] وَضَعَ كَفَّهُ وَسَطَ ظَهْرِهِ ثُمَّ قَالَ لَهُ أَمَّا مَا مَضَى فَقَدْ غُفِرَ لَكَ فَاسْتَأْنِفِ الْعَمَلَ حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْحَسَنِ الصَّفَّارِ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ يَحْيَى عَنْ جَدِّهِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ رَاشِدٍ عَنْ أَبِي إِبْرَاهِيمَ (ع) قَالَ مَنْ خَرَجَ مِنْ بَيْتِهِ يُرِيدُ زِيَارَةَ قَبْرِ الْحُسَيْنِ (ع) مِثْلَهُ

7. My father and all of my scholars narrated to me from Sa’d ibn ‘Abdillāh, from Aĥmad ibn Muĥammad ibn ‘Isa, from Muĥammad ibn Khālid Al-Barqi, from Qāsim ibn Yaĥyā, from his grandfather Ĥasan ibn Rāshid, who said: Abū Ibrāhǐm (Imam Kāżim (a.s.)) said: When one leaves his house to go to the Ziyārah of Abǐ ‘Abdillāh Al-Ĥusain (a.s.), Allāh will dedicate an angel to him who will place his finger on the back of the Zā`ir and who will start writing (on his back) every word which comes out of his mouth until he arrives at the Ĥā`ir. After he enters through the gate of the Ĥā`ir, the angel will place his palm on the middle of the back of the Zā`ir and say, “Surely all of your past sins have been forgiven. Therefore, continue with good deeds.” The above Ĥadǐth has also been narrated to me through the following chain: Muĥammad ibn Ĥasan, from Muĥammad ibn Ĥasan Al-Šaffār, from Aĥmad ibn Muĥammad ibn ‘Isā, from Qāsim ibn Yaĥyā, from his grandfather Ĥasan ibn Rāshid, from Abǐ Ibrāhǐm (a.s.).

8 حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي وَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ره جَمِيعاً عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ الْحِمْيَرِيِّ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ مَهْزِيَارَ عَنْ أَخِيهِ عَلِيِّ بْنِ مَهْزِيَارَ عَنْ أَبِي الْقَاسِمِ عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ هَارُونَ بْنِ خَارِجَةَ قَالَ سَأَلَ رَجُلٌ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ (ع) وَ أَنَا عِنْدَهُ فَقَالَ مَا لِمَنْ زَارَ قَبْرَ الْحُسَيْنِ (ع) قَالَ إِنَّ الْحُسَيْنَ (ع) لَمَّا أُصِيبَ بَكَتْهُ حَتَّى الْبِلَادُ فَوَكَّلَ اللَّهُ بِهِ أَرْبَعَةَ آلَافِ مَلَكٍ شُعْثاً غُبْراً يَبْكُونَهُ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ فَمَنْ زَارَهُ عَارِفاً بِحَقِّهِ شَيَّعُوهُ حَتَّى يُبْلِغُوهُ مَأْمَنَهُ وَ إِنْ مَرِضَ عَادُوهُ غُدْوَةً وَ عَشِيَّةً وَ إِنْ مَاتَ شَهِدُوا جِنَازَتَهُ وَ اسْتَغْفَرُوا لَهُ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ

8. My father and Muĥammad ibn ‘Abdillāh both narrated to me from ‘Abdillāh ibn Ja’far Al-Ĥimyari, from Ibrāhǐm ibn Mahziyār, from his brother ‘Ali ibn Mahziyār, from Abil Qāsim, from Qāsim ibn Muĥammad, from Isĥāq ibn Ibrāhǐm, from Hārūn ibn Khārijah, who said: I was with Abǐ ‘Abdillāh (Imam Šādiq (a.s.)) when a man asked him, “What is the reward for those who go to the Ziyārah of the grave of Ĥusain (a.s.)?” Imam (a.s.) replied: Verily when Ĥusain (a.s.) was assaulted, even the lands cried over him. Therefore, Allāh dedicated four thousand angels, who are disheveled and covered with dust, who cry over him (and will continue to do so) until the Day of Judgment. These angels accompany those who go to the Ziyārah of Ĥusain (a.s.), while knowing his rights, until they arrive at their safe haven. And if they become ill, the angels will visit them every morning and evening. And when they die, these angels will attend their funerals and seek forgiveness for them until the Day of Judgment.

9 حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ أَبِي الْخَطَّابِ عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ سَعْدَانَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْقَاسِمِ عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ أَبَانٍ الْكَلْبِيِّ عَنْ أَبَانِ بْنِ تَغْلِبَ قَالَ قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ (ع) هَبَطَ أَرْبَعَةُ آلَافِ مَلَكٍ يُرِيدُونَ الْقِتَالَ مَعَ الْحُسَيْنِ (ع) فَلَمْ يُؤْذَنْ لَهُمْ فِي الْقِتَالِ فَرَجَعُوا فِي الِاسْتِئْذَانِ فَهَبَطُوا وَ قَدْ قُتِلَ الْحُسَيْنُ (ع) فَهُمْ عِنْدَ قَبْرِهِ شُعْثٌ غُبْرٌ يَبْكُونَهُ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ رَئِيسُهُمْ مَلَكٌ يُقَالُ لَهُ مَنْصُورٌ فَلَا يَزُورُهُ زَائِرٌ إِلَّا اسْتَقْبَلُوهُ وَ لَا يُوَدِّعُهُ مُوَدِّعٌ إِلَّا شَيَّعُوهُ وَ لَا يَمْرَضُ مَرِيضٌ إِلَّا عَادُوهُ وَ لَا يَمُوتُ إِلَّا صَلَّوْا عَلَى جِنَازَتِهِ وَ اسْتَغْفَرُوا لَهُ بَعْدَ مَوْتِهِ وَ كُلُّ هَؤُلَاءِ فِي الْأَرْضِ يَنْتَظِرُونَ قِيَامَ الْقَائِمِ ع

9. Muĥammad ibn Ja’far narrated to me from Muĥammad ibn Ĥusain ibn Abil Khaťťāb, from Mūsā ibn Sa’dān, from ‘Abdillāh ibn Qāsim, from ‘Umar ibn Abān Al-Kalbi, from Abān ibn Taghlib, who said: Abū ‘Abdillāh (Imam Šādiq (a.s.)) said: Four thousand angels descended (on the Day of ‘Āshūrā) to fight along with Ĥusain (a.s.) but they were not permitted to fight. Therefore, they ascended back (to the heavens) to seek permission (from Allāh). However, by the time they came back, Ĥusain (a.s.) had been killed. Therefore, they remain next to his grave, disheveled and covered with dust, and they cry over him (and will continue to do so) until the Day of Judgment. Their chief is an angel named Manšūr. These angels receive everyone who comes to the Ziyārah of Ĥusain (a.s.) and they accompany them when they bid farewell to Ĥusain (a.s.). They visit them if they become ill, establish prayers on them in their funerals when they die, and seek forgiveness for them after their death. All of these angels are on earth waiting for the rising of the Qā`im (a.s.).

10 حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ الرَّزَّازُ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي الْخَطَّابِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْفُضَيْلِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مُضَارِبٍ عَنْ مَالِكٍ الْجُهَنِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ (ع) قَالَ قَالَ يَا مَالِكُ إِنَّ اللَّهَ تَبَارَكَ وَ تَعَالَى لَمَّا قُبِضَ الْحُسَيْنُ (ع) بَعَثَ إِلَيْهِ أَرْبَعَةَ أَلْفِ مَلَكٍ شُعْثاً غُبْراً يَبْكُونَهُ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ- فَمَنْ زَارَهُ عَارِفاً بِحَقِّهِ غَفَرَ اللَّهُ لَهُ مَا تَقَدَّمَ مِنْ ذَنْبِهِ وَ مَا تَأَخَّرَ وَ كَتَبَ لَهُ حِجَّةً وَ لَمْ يَزَلْ مَحْفُوظاً حَتَّى يَرْجِعَ إِلَى أَهْلِهِ قَالَ فَلَمَّا مَاتَ مَالِكٌ وَ قُبِضَ أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ (ع) دَخَلْتُ عَلَى أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ (ع) فَأَخْبَرْتُهُ بِالْحَدِيثِ فَلَمَّا انْتَهَيْتُ إِلَى حِجَّةٍ قَالَ وَ عُمْرَةً يَا مُحَمَّدُ

10. Abul ‘Abbās Al-Razzāz narrated to me from Ibn Abil Khaťťāb, from Muĥammad ibn Fuďayl, from Muĥammad ibn Muďārib, from Mālik Al-Juhani, who said: Abū Ja’far (Imam Bāqir (a.s.)) said: O Mālik! When Allāh, the Blessed and the Exalted, took the life of Ĥusain (a.s.), He sent four thousand angels, who are disheveled and covered with dust, to him who cry over him (and will continue to do so) until the Day of Judgment. Allāh will forgive (all of) the past and future sins of those who go to his Ziyārah knowing his rights and He will (also) register a Hajj for them. They will be kept protected until they return to their families. Muĥammad ibn Muďārib added: After Abū Ja’far (Imam Bāqir (a.s.)) passed away and Mālik (the narrator) died, I went to Abǐ ‘Abdillāh (Imam Šādiq (a.s.)) and narrated this Ĥadǐth to him. When I mentioned the Hajj (which will be registered for those who go to the Ziyārah of Ĥusain (a.s.)), Imam (a.s.) said, “And an ‘Umrah, O Muĥamma!”
