1 حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ مَتٍّ الْجَوْهَرِيُّ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ يَحْيَى بْنِ عِمْرَانَ الْأَشْعَرِيِّ عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ عُمَرَ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ النُّعْمَانِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُسْكَانَ قَالَ قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ (ع) إِنَّ اللَّهَ تَبَارَكَ وَ تَعَالَى يَتَجَلَّى لِزُوَّارِ قَبْرِ الْحُسَيْنِ (ع) قَبْلَ أَهْلِ عَرَفَاتٍ وَ يَقْضِي حَوَائِجَهُمْ وَ يَغْفِرُ ذُنُوبَهُمْ وَ يُشَفِّعُهُمْ فِي مَسَائِلِهِمْ ثُمَّ يَثْنِي بِأَهْلِ عَرَفَاتٍ فَيَفْعَلُ بِهِمْ ذَلِكَ

1. Muĥammad ibn Ĥusain ibn Mat Al-Jawhari narrated to me from Muĥammad ibn Aĥmad ibn Yaĥyā ibn ‘Imrān Al-Ash’ari, from Mūsā ibn ‘Umar, from ‘Ali ibn Nu’mān, from ‘Abdillāh ibn Muskān, who said: Abū ‘Abdillāh (Imam Šadiq (a.s.)) said: Verily (on the Day of ‘Arafah), Allāh, the Blessed and the Exalted, manifests (His Mercy) to the Zuwwār of the grave of Ĥusain (a.s.) before He does (so) for the people who are in ‘Arafāt. He fulfils their needs, forgives their sins, and accepts their intercession for their requests. Thereafter, He attends to the people in ‘Arafāt and honours them in the same way.

2 حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي (رحمه الله) وَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ وَ عَلِيُ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ جَمِيعاً عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ عَنْ صَفْوَانَ بْنِ يَحْيَى عَنْ رَجُلٍ عَنْ سَيْفٍ التَّمَّارِ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ (ع) قَالَ سَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ زَائِرُ الْحُسَيْنِ (ع) مُشَفَّعٌ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ لِمِائَةِ رَجُلٍ كُلُّهُمْ قَدْ وَجَبَتْ لَهُمُ النَّارُ مِمَّنْ كَانَ فِي الدُّنْيَا مِنَ الْمُسْرِفِينَ

2. My father, Muĥammad ibn Ĥasan, and ‘Ali ibn Ĥusain all narrated to me from Sa’d ibn ‘Abdillāh, from Muĥammad ibn ‘Isā ibn ‘Ubayd, from Šafwān ibn Yaĥyā, from someone, from Sayf Al-Tammār, who said: I heard Abā ‘Abdillāh (Imam Šādiq (a.s.)) say: On the Day of Judgment, a Zā`ir of Ĥusain (a.s.) will be able to intercede for one hundred people who were immoderate (against their souls) in this life and upon whom Hell is obligatory.

3 حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي (رحمه الله) وَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ وَ عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ وَ عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ قُولَوَيْهِ جَمِيعاً عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ إِدْرِيسَ وَ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَحْيَى عَنِ الْعَمْرَكِيِّ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ الْبُوفَكِيِّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى وَ كَانَ فِي خِدْمَةِ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ الثَّانِي (ع) عَنْ عَلِيٍّ عَنْ صَفْوَانَ الْجَمَّالِ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ (ع) فِي حَدِيثٍ لَهُ طَوِيلٍ قُلْتُ فَمَا لِمَنْ قُتِلَ عِنْدَهُ يَعْنِي عِنْدَ قَبْرِ الْحُسَيْنِ جَارَ عَلَيْهِ السُّلْطَانُ فَقَتَلَهُ قَالَ أَوَّلُ قَطْرَةٍ مِنْ دَمِهِ يُغْفَرُ لَهُ بِهَا كُلُّ خَطِيئَةٍ وَ تُغْسَلُ طِينَتُهُ الَّتِي خُلِقَ مِنْهَا الْمَلَائِكَةُ حَتَّى يَخْلُصَ كَمَا خَلَصَتِ الْأَنْبِيَاءُ المخلصين [الْمُخْلَصُونَ وَ يَذْهَبُ عَنْهَا مَا كَانَ خَالَطَهَا مِنْ أَدْنَاسِ طِينِ أَهْلِ الْكُفْرِ وَ الْفَسَادِ- وَ يُغْسَلُ قَلْبُهُ وَ يُشْرَحُ وَ يُمْلَأُ إِيمَاناً فَيَلْقَى اللَّهَ وَ هُوَ مُخْلَصٌ مِنْ كُلِّ مَا يُخَالِطُهُ الْأَبْدَانُ وَ الْقُلُوبُ وَ يُكْتَبُ لَهُ شَفَاعَةٌ فِي أَهْلِ بَيْتِهِ وَ أَلْفٍ مِنْ إِخْوَانِهِ وَ تَتَوَلَّى الصَّلَاةَ عَلَيْهِ الْمَلَائِكَةُ مَعَ جَبْرَئِيلَ وَ مَلَكِ الْمَوْتِ وَ يُؤْتَى بِكَفَنِهِ وَ حَنُوطِهِ مِنَ الْجَنَّةِ وَ يُوَسَّعُ قَبْرُهُ وَ يُوضَعُ لَهُ مَصَابِيحُ فِي قَبْرِهِ وَ يُفْتَحُ لَهُ بَابٌ مِنَ الْجَنَّةِ وَ تَأْتِيهِ الْمَلَائِكَةُ بِطُرَفٍ مِنَ الْجَنَّةِ وَ يُرْفَعُ بَعْدَ ثَمَانِيَةَ عَشَرَ يَوْماً إِلَى حَظِيرَةِ الْقُدْسِ فَلَا يَزَالُ فِيهَا مَعَ أَوْلِيَاءِ اللَّهِ حَتَّى تُصِيبَهُ النَّفْخَةُ الَّتِي لَا تَبْقَى شَيْئاً فَإِذَا كَانَتِ النَّفْخَةُ الثَّانِيَةُ وَ خَرَجَ مِنْ قَبْرِهِ كَانَ أَوَّلُ مَنْ يُصَافِحُهُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ (ص) وَ أَمِيرَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَ الْأَوْصِيَاءَ وَ يُبَشِّرُونَهُ وَ يَقُولُونَ لَهُ الْزَمْنَا وَ يُقِيمُونَهُ عَلَى الْحَوْضِ فَيَشْرَبُ مِنْهُ وَ يَسْقِي مَنْ أَحَبَّ

3. My father, Muĥammad ibn Ĥasan, ‘Ali ibn Ĥusain, and (my brother) ‘Ali ibn Muĥammad ibn Qūlawayh all narrated to me from Aĥmad ibn Idrǐs, and from Muĥammad ibn Yaĥyā, from ‘Amraki ibn ‘Ali Al-Būfaki, from Yaĥyā – who was the servant of Abǐ Ja’far the Second (Imam Jawād (a.s.)), from ‘Ali (ibn Ĥakam), from Šafwān Al-Jammāl, who said: … I asked (Imam Šādiq (a.s.)), “What is the reward for those who are killed next to the grave of Ĥusain (a.s.) – those who are captured by a dominating power and killed?” Imam (a.s.) replied: All of their sins will be forgiven with the first drop of their blood which is spilled. Then the angels will cleanse the clay from which they were created. The impurities which were mixed with their clay – (originally) from the filthy materials used in the clay of the disbelievers and the wicked ones – will be removed from their clay until it becomes as pure as the clay of the devoted prophets. Then their heart will be cleansed, expanded, and filled with faith. Therefore, they will meet Allāh while they are pure from every impurity which might be mixed with the heart or the body. They will be granted the power of intercession for their family members and one thousand of their brothers (in faith). Jabra`ǐl and the Angel of Death, along with (the rest of) the angels, will undertake establishing the prayers on them. Furthermore, their shroud and embalmment will be brought for them from Paradise. Their graves will be expanded, some lamps will be placed in them, and a door will be opened from Paradise to their graves. Then the angels will bring exquisite gifts from Paradise to them. Eighteen days later, they will be moved to the Sacred Sanctuary and they will stay there in the company of Allāh’s Divine Authorities until the trumpet, which will leave nothing alive, is sounded. When the trumpet is sounded for the second time and they are resurrected from their graves, the first among those who will shake hands with them will be the Messenger of Allāh (s.a.a.w.), the Commander of the Believers (a.s.), and the successors (a.s.). They will give glad tidings to them and tell them to hold on to them and to follow them to the Pool where they will be allowed to drink and give water to whomever they wish.

4 حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي ره عَنِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ أَبَانٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أُورَمَةَ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْمُؤْمِنِ عَنِ ابْنِ مُسْكَانَ عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ خَالِدٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ (ع) قَالَ سَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ إِنَّ لِلَّهِ فِي كُلِّ يَوْمٍ وَ لَيْلَةٍ مِائَةَ أَلْفِ لَحْظَةٍ إِلَى الْأَرْضِ يَغْفِرُ لِمَنْ يَشَاءُ مِنْهُ وَ يُعَذِّبُ مَنْ يَشَاءُ مِنْهُ وَ يَغْفِرُ لِزَائِرِي قَبْرِ الْحُسَيْنِ (ع) خَاصَّةً وَ لِأَهْلِ بَيْتِهِمْ وَ لِمَنْ يَشْفَعُ لَهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ كَائِناً مَنْ كَانَ وَ إِنْ كَانَ رَجُلًا قَدِ اسْتَوْجَبَهُ النَّارُ قَالَ قُلْتُ وَ إِنْ كَانَ رَجُلًا قَدِ اسْتَوْجَبَهُ النَّارُ قَالَ وَ إِنْ كَانَ مَا لَمْ يَكُنْ نَاصِبِيّاً

4. My father narrated to me from Ĥusain ibn Ĥasan ibn Abān, from Muĥammad ibn Ūramah, from Abǐ ‘Abdillāh Al-Mu`min, from Ibn Muskān, from Sulaymān ibn Khālid, who said: I heard Abā ‘Abdillāh (Imam Šādiq (a.s.)) say: Verily every day and every night Allāh glances at the earth one hundred thousand times through which He forgives whomever He wills and punishes whomever He wills. Allāh specifically forgives those who go to the Ziyārah of the grave of Ĥusain (a.s.), their family members, and those for whom they (the Zuwwār of Ĥusain (a.s.)) will intercede on the Day of Judgment, regardless of who they may be, even if they are among those upon whom Hell is made obligatory. I asked, “Even if they are among those upon whom Hell is made obligatory?” Imam (a.s.) replied, “Yes, as long as they are not NĀŠIBǏ.”

5 حَدَّثَنِي الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ مَحْبُوبٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ وَضَّاحٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ التَّمِيمِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ (ع) قَالَ يُنَادِي مُنَادٍ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ أَيْنَ شِيعَةُ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ فَيَقُومُ عُنُقٌ مِنَ النَّاسِ لَا يُحْصِيهِمْ إِلَّا اللَّهُ تَعَالَى- فَيَقُومُونَ نَاحِيَةً مِنَ النَّاسِ ثُمَّ يُنَادِي مُنَادٍ أَيْنَ زُوَّارُ قَبْرِ الْحُسَيْنِ (ع) فَيَقُومُ أُنَاسٌ كَثِيرٌ فَيُقَالُ لَهُمْ خُذُوا بِيَدِ مَنْ أَحْبَبْتُمْ انْطَلِقُوا بِهِمْ إِلَى الْجَنَّةِ فَيَأْخُذُ الرَّجُلُ مَنْ أَحَبَّ حَتَّى إِنَّ الرَّجُلَ مِنَ النَّاسِ يَقُولُ لِرَجُلٍ يَا فُلَانُ أَ مَا تَعْرِفُنِي أَنَا الَّذِي قُمْتُ لَكَ يَوْمَ كَذَا وَ كَذَا فَيُدْخِلُهُ الْجَنَّةَ لَا يُدْفَعُ وَ لَا يُمْنَعُ

5. Ĥasan ibn ‘Abdillāh ibn Muĥammad ibn ‘Isā narrated to me from his father ‘Abdillāh ibn Muĥammad ibn ‘Isā, from Ĥasan ibn Maĥbūb, from ‘Abdillāh ibn Waďďāĥ, from ‘Abdillāh ibn Shu’ayb Al-Tamǐmi, who said: Abū ‘Abdillāh (Imam Šādiq (a.s.)) said: On the Day of Judgment, a caller will call out, “Where are the Shia of the family of Muĥammad (s.a.a.w.)?” A group of people whose number cannot be counted except by Allāh, the Exalted, will stand up and move aside from (the rest of) the people. Then a caller will call out, “Where are the Zuwwār of the grave of Ĥusain (a.s.)?” A large group of people will stand up. They will be told, “Take the hand of whomever you like and take them along (with you) to Paradise.” They will take whomever they like (to Paradise) to such an extent that a person will say to one of them, “O so-and-so! Do you not remember me?! I stood up for you once (as an act of respect).” Therefore, the man will take him to Paradise without being stopped.
