1 حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي وَ عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ وَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ره جَمِيعاً عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ هَاشِمٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِي نَصْرٍ قَالَ سَأَلَ بَعْضُ أَصْحَابِنَا أَبَا الْحَسَنِ الرِّضَا (ع) عَمَّنْ أَتَى قَبْرَ الْحُسَيْنِ (ع) قَالَ تَعْدِلُ عُمْرَةً

1. My father, ‘Ali ibn Ĥusain, and Muĥammad ibn Ya’qūb all narrated to me from ‘Ali ibn Ibrāhǐm ibn Hāshim, from his father, from Aĥmad ibn Muĥammad ibn Abǐ Našr, who said: Some of our companions asked Abal Ĥasan (Imam Riďā (a.s.)) about (the reward of) those who go to (the Ziyārah of) the grave of Ĥusain (a.s.). Imam (a.s.) replied, “It is equal to performing an ‘Umrah.”

2 وَ حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي عُثْمَانَ عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ عَبَّادٍ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْمَدَائِنِيِّ قَالَ دَخَلْتُ عَلَى أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ (ع) فَقُلْتُ جُعِلْتُ فِدَاكَ آتِي قَبْرَ الْحُسَيْنِ قَالَ نَعَمْ يَا أَبَا سَعِيدٍ ائْتِ قَبْرَ ابْنِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ (ص) أَطْيَبِ الطَّيِّبِينَ- وَ أَطْهَرِ الطَّاهِرِينَ وَ أَبَرِّ الْأَبْرَارِ فَإِذَا زُرْتَهُ كُتِبَ لَكَ اثْنَتَانِ وَ عِشْرُونَ عُمْرَةً

2. Muĥammad ibn Ja’far narrated to me from Muĥammad ibn Ĥusain, from Ĥasan ibn ‘Ali ibn Abǐ ‘Uthmān, from Ismā’ǐl ibn ‘Abbād, from Ĥasan ibn ‘Ali, from Abǐ Sa’ǐd Al-Madā`ini, who said: I went to Abǐ ‘Abdillāh (Imam Šādiq (a.s.)) and asked, “May I sacrifice myself for you! Should I go to (the Ziyārah of) the grave of Ĥusain (a.s.)?” Imam (a.s.) replied: O Abā Sa’ǐd! Yes! Go to (the Ziyārah of) the grave of the son of the Messenger of Allāh (s.a.a.w.), the most blessed of the blessed ones, the most purified of the purified ones, and the most pious of the pious ones; for if you go to his Ziyārah, twenty-two ‘Umrah will be registered for you.

3 وَ عَنْهُ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِنَانٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ الرِّضَا (ع) يَقُولُ زِيَارَةُ قَبْرِ الْحُسَيْنِ (ع) تَعْدِلُ عُمْرَةً مَبْرُورَةً مُتَقَبَّلَةً

3. Muĥammad ibn Ja’far narrated to me from Muĥammad ibn Ĥusain, from Muĥammad ibn Sinān, who said: I heard Imam Riďā (a.s.) say: Going to the Ziyārah of the grave of Ĥusain (a.s.) is equal to performing a purified and accepted ‘Umrah.

4 حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي ره وَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ وَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ابْنَيْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ الْقَاسِمِ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ الْجَهْمِ قَالَ قُلْتُ لِأَبِي الْحَسَنِ (ع) مَا تَقُولُ فِي زِيَارَةِ قَبْرِ الْحُسَيْنِ (ع) فَقَالَ لِي مَا تَقُولُ أَنْتَ فِيهِ فَقُلْتُ بَعْضُنَا يَقُولُ حِجَّةٌ وَ بَعْضُنَا يَقُولُ عُمْرَةٌ فَقَالَ هُوَ عُمْرَةٌ مَقْبُولَةٌ

4. My father and Muĥammad ibn Ĥasan both narrated to me from Sa’d ibn ‘Abdillāh, from Aĥmad and ‘Abdillāh sons of Muĥammad ibn ‘Isā, from Mūsā ibn Qāsim, from Ĥasan ibn Jahm, who said: I asked Abal Ĥasan (Imam Riďā (a.s.)), “What do you say about (the reward for) going to the Ziyārah of the grave of Ĥusain (a.s.)?” Imam (a.s.) replied, “What is your opinion about this (matter)?” I said, “Some people say that it is equal to performing one Hajj while others say it is equal to performing an ‘Umrah.” Imam (a.s.) said, “It is equal to performing an accepted ‘Umrah.”

5 وَ حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْحَسَنِ الصَّفَّارِ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ يَحْيَى الْقَطَّانُ عَنْ أَبِيهِ أَبِي الْبِلَادِ قَالَ سَأَلْتُ أَبَا الْحَسَنِ الرِّضَا (ع) عَنْ زِيَارَةِ قَبْرِ الْحُسَيْنِ (ع) فَقَالَ مَا تَقُولُونَ أَنْتُمْ قُلْتُ نَقُولُ حِجَّةٌ وَ عُمْرَةٌ قَالَ تَعْدِلُ عُمْرَةً مَبْرُورَةً

5. Muĥammad ibn Ĥasan narrated to me from Muĥammad ibn Ĥasan Al-Šaffār, from Aĥmad ibn Muĥammad ibn ‘Isā, from Muĥammad ibn ‘Ali, from Ibrāhǐm ibn Yaĥyā Al-Qaťťān, from his father Abil Bilād, who said: I asked Abal Ĥasan (Imam Riďā (a.s.)) about (the reward for) going to the Ziyārah of the grave of Ĥusain (a.s.). Imam (a.s.) asked, “What is your opinion about this (matter)?” I replied, “We say that it is equal to performing a Hajj and an ‘Umrah.” Imam (a.s.) said, “It is equal to performing a purified ‘Umrah.”

6 حَدَّثَنِي عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ أَشْيَمَ عَنْ صَفْوَانَ بْنِ يَحْيَى قَالَ سَأَلْتُ الرِّضَا (ع) عَنْ زِيَارَةِ قَبْرِ الْحُسَيْنِ (ع) أَيُّ شَيْءٍ فِيهِ مِنَ الْفَضْلِ قَالَ تَعْدِلُ عُمْرَةً

6. ‘Ali ibn Ĥusain narrated to me from Sa’d ibn ‘Abdillāh, from Aĥmad ibn Muĥammad ibn ‘Isā, from ‘Ali ibn Aĥmad ibn Ashyam, from Šafwān ibn Yaĥyā, who said: I asked Imam Riďā (a.s.), “What it the reward for going to the Ziyārah of the grave of Ĥusain (a.s.)?” Imam (a.s.) said, “It is equal to performing an ‘Umrah.”

7 حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي ره وَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ جَمِيعاً عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ الْحِمْيَرِيِّ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ مَهْزِيَارَ عَنْ أَخِيهِ عَلِيِّ بْنِ مَهْزِيَارَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِنَانٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا الْحَسَنِ (ع) يَقُولُ إِنَّ زِيَارَةَ قَبْرِ الْحُسَيْنِ (ع) تَعْدِلُ عُمْرَةً مَبْرُورَةً مُتَقَبَّلَةً

7. My father and Muĥammad ibn ‘Abdillāh both narrated to me from ‘Abdillāh ibn Ja’far Al-Ĥimyari, from Ibrāhǐm ibn Mahziyār, from his brother ‘Ali ibn Mahziyār, from Muĥammad ibn Sinān, who said: I heard Abal Ĥasan (Imam Riďā (a.s.)) say: Going to the Ziyārah of the grave of Ĥusain (a.s.) is equal to performing a purified and an accepted ‘Umrah.

8 حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ عَنْ صَفْوَانَ بْنِ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَبِي الْحَسَنِ (ع) قَالَ سَأَلْتُهُ عَنْ زِيَارَةِ قَبْرِ الْحُسَيْنِ (ع) أَيُّ شَيْءٍ فِيهِ مِنَ الْفَضْلِ قَالَ تَعْدِلُ عُمْرَةً

8. Muĥammad ibn Ja’far narrated to me from Muĥammad ibn Ĥusain, from Šafwān ibn Yaĥyā, who said: I asked Abal Ĥasan (Imam Riďā (a.s.)) about the reward for going to the Ziyārah of the grave of Ĥusain (a.s.). Imam (a.s.) said, “It is equal to performing an ‘Umrah.”

9 حَدَّثَنِي جَمَاعَةُ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ إِدْرِيسَ وَ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَحْيَى الْعَطَّارِ عَنِ الْعَمْرَكِيِّ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ عَنْ بَعْضِ أَصْحَابِهِ عَنْ بَعْضِهِمْ (ع) قَالَ أَرْبَعُ عُمَرٍ تَعْدِلُ حِجَّةً وَ زِيَارَةُ قَبْرِ الْحُسَيْنِ ع تَعْدِلُ عُمْرَةً

9. A group of our companions narrated to me from Aĥmad ibn Idrǐs, and from Muĥammad ibn Yaĥyā Al-‘Aťťār, from ‘Amraki ibn ‘Ali, from some of his companions, from one of them (the infallible Imams (a.s.)), who said: Performing four ‘Umrah is equal to performing a Hajj, and going to the Ziyārah of the grave of Ĥusain (a.s.) is equal to performing an ‘Umrah.

10 وَ بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ عَنِ الْعَمْرَكِيِّ بْنِ الْبُوفَكِيِّ عَمَّنْ حَدَّثَهُ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْفَضْلِ عَنْ أَبِي رَبَابٍ [رِئَابٍ] قَالَ سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ (ع) عَنْ زِيَارَةِ قَبْرِ الْحُسَيْنِ (ع) قَالَ نَعَمْ تَعْدِلُ عُمْرَةً وَ لَا يَنْبَغِي أَنْ يَتَخَلَّفَ عَنْهُ أَكْثَرَ مِنْ أَرْبَعِ سِنِينَ

10. A group of our companions narrated to me from Aĥmad ibn Idrǐs, and from Muĥammad ibn Yaĥyā Al-‘Aťťār, from ‘Amraki ibn Al-Būfaki, from someone who narrated to him, from Muĥammad ibn Fuďayl, from Abǐ Rabāb, who said: I asked Abā ‘Abdillāh (Imam Šādiq (a.s.)) about (the reward for) going to the Ziyārah of the grave of Ĥusain (a.s.). Imam (a.s.) said, “It is equal to performing an ‘Umrah, and one is not permitted to stay away from it for longer than four years.”
