1 حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي (رحمه الله) وَ جَمَاعَةُ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ الْوَشَّاءِ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ عَائِذٍ عَنْ أَبِي خَدِيجَةَ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ (ع) قَالَ سَأَلْتُهُ عَنْ زِيَارَةِ قَبْرِ الْحُسَيْنِ (ع) قَالَ إِنَّهُ أَفْضَلُ مَا يَكُونُ مِنَ الْأَعْمَالِ

1. My father and a group of our companions narrated to me from Sa’d ibn ‘Abdillāh, from Aĥmad ibn Muĥammad ibn ‘Isā, from Ĥasan ibn ‘Ali Al-Washā, from Aĥmad ibn ‘Ā`idh, from Abǐ Khadǐjah (Sālim ibn Mukram Al-Jammāl), who said: I asked Abā ‘Abdillāh (Imam Šādiq (a.s.)) about the Ziyārah of the grave of Ĥusain (a.s.). He (the Imam (a.s.)) replied, “Verily it is the best of deeds.”

2 وَ عَنْهُ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنِ الْوَشَّاءِ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ عَائِذٍ عَنْ أَبِي خَدِيجَةَ [سَلَمَةَ] عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ (ع) قَالَ سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ (ع) عَنْ زِيَارَةِ قَبْرِ الْحُسَيْنِ (ع) قَالَ إِنَّهُ أَفْضَلُ مَا يَكُونُ مِنَ الْأَعْمَالِ

2. 3. Muĥammad ibn Ĥasan narrated to me from Muĥammad ibn Ĥasan Al-Šaffār, from Aĥmad ibn Muĥammad, from Al-Washā, from Aĥmad ibn ‘Ā`idh, from Abǐ Khadǐjah, who said: I asked Abā ‘Abdillāh (Imam Šādiq (a.s.)) about the Ziyārah of the grave of Ĥusain (a.s.). He (the Imam (a.s.)) replied, “Verily it is the best of deeds.”

4 حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ الْكُوفِيُّ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ مَحْبُوبٍ عَنْ رَجُلٍ عَنْ أَبَانٍ الْأَزْرَقِ عَنْ رَجُلٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ (ع) قَالَ مِنْ أَحَبِّ الْأَعْمَالِ إِلَى اللَّهِ تَعَالَى زِيَارَةُ قَبْرِ الْحُسَيْنِ (ع) وَ أَفْضَلُ الْأَعْمَالِ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ إِدْخَالُ السُّرُورِ عَلَى الْمُؤْمِنِ وَ أَقْرَبُ مَا يَكُونُ الْعَبْدُ إِلَى اللَّهِ تَعَالَى وَ هُوَ سَاجِدٌ بَاكٍ

4. Abul ‘Abbās Al-Kūfi narrated to me from Muĥammad ibn Ĥusain, from Ĥasan ibn Maĥbūb, from someone, from Abān Al-Azraq, from someone who said: Abū ‘Abdillāh (Imam Šādiq (a.s.)) said: One of the deeds most loved by Allāh, the Exalted, is going to the Ziyārah of the grave of Ĥusain (a.s.), and the best deed in the eyes of Allāh is pleasing a believer. And the closest that a slave can be to Allāh, the Exalted, is when he is crying in the state of prostration.

5 حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ الْحِمْيَرِيُّ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ أَبِي جَهْمٍ عَنْ أَبِي خَدِيجَةَ قَالَ قُلْتُ لِأَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ (ع) مَا يُبْلَغُ مِنْ زِيَارَةِ قَبْرِ الْحُسَيْنِ (ع) قَالَ أَفْضَلَ مَا يَكُونُ مِنَ الْأَعْمَالِ

5. Muĥammad ibn ‘Abdillāh ibn Ja’far Al-Ĥimyari narrated to me from his father, from Aĥmad ibn Abǐ ‘Abdillāh, from Abǐ Jahm, from Abǐ Khadǐjah, who said: I asked Abā ‘Abdillāh (Imam Šādiq (a.s.)), “What is the extent of (the greatness of) the Ziyārah of the grave of Ĥusain (a.s.)?” Imam (a.s.) replied, “(Verily) it is the best of deeds.”

6 حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ الرَّزَّازُ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي هَاشِمٍ الرَّزَّازِ [الْبَزَّازِ] قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سَالِمٌ أَبُو سَلَمَةَ وَ هُوَ أَبُو خَدِيجَةَ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ (ع) قَالَ إِنَّ زِيَارَةَ الْحُسَيْنِ (ع) أَفْضَلُ مَا يَكُونُ مِنَ الْأَعْمَالِ

6. Muĥammad ibn Ja’far Al-Razzāz narrated to me from Muĥammad ibn Ĥusain, from ‘Abdil Raĥmān ibn Abǐ Hāshim Al-Razzāz, from Abǐ Salamah Sālim – referring to Abǐ Khadǐjah, who said: Abū ‘Abdillāh (Imam Šādiq (a.s.)) said: Verily the Ziyārah of Ĥusain (a.s.) is the best of deeds.
