1 حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي (رحمه الله) وَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ وَ عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ وَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ رَحِمَهُمُ اللَّهُ جَمِيعاً عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ الْحِمْيَرِيِّ عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ عُمَرَ عَنْ حَسَّانَ الْبَصْرِيِّ عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ وَهْبٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ (ع) قَالَ قَالَ لِي يَا مُعَاوِيَةُ لَا تَدَعْ زِيَارَةَ قَبْرِ الْحُسَيْنِ (ع) لِخَوْفٍ فَإِنَّ مَنْ تَرَكَ زِيَارَتَهُ رَأَى مِنَ الْحَسْرَةِ مَا يَتَمَنَّى أَنَّ قَبْرَهُ كَانَ عِنْدَهُ أَ مَا تُحِبُّ أَنْ يَرَى اللَّهُ شَخْصَكَ وَ سَوَادَكَ فِيمَنْ يَدْعُو لَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ (ص) وَ عَلِيٌّ وَ فَاطِمَةُ وَ الْأَئِمَّةُ ع

1. My father, Muĥammad ibn ‘Abdillāh, ‘Ali ibn Ĥusain, and Muĥammad ibn Ĥasan all narrated to me from ‘Abdillāh ibn Ja’far Al-Ĥimyari, from Mūsā ibn ‘Umar, from Ghassān Al-Bašri, from Mu’āwiyah ibn Wahab, who said: Abū ‘Abdillāh (Imam Šādiq (a.s.)) said to me: O Mu’āwiyah! Do not neglect going to the Ziyārah of the grave of Ĥusain (a.s.) because of fear. Verily he who abandons the Ziyārah of Ĥusain (a.s.) (for any reason) will regret it so much that he will wish that his grave was next to him. Do you not like Allāh to see you among those for whom the Messenger of Allāh, ‘Ali, Fāťimah, and the Imams (a.s.) pray?!

2 وَ بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ عُمَرَ عَنْ حَسَّانَ الْبَصْرِيِّ عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ وَهْبٍ قَالَ اسْتَأْذَنْتُ عَلَى أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ (ع) فَقِيلَ لِي ادْخُلْ فَدَخَلْتُ فَوَجَدْتُهُ فِي مُصَلَّاهُ فِي بَيْتِهِ فَجَلَسْتُ حَتَّى قَضَى صَلَاتَهُ فَسَمِعْتُهُ يُنَاجِي رَبَّهُ وَ هُوَ يَقُولُ اللَّهُمَّ يَا مَنْ خَصَّنَا بِالْكَرَامَةِ وَ وَعَدَنَا بِالشَّفَاعَةِ وَ خَصَّنَا بِالْوَصِيَّةِ وَ أَعْطَانَا عِلْمَ مَا مَضَى وَ عِلْمَ مَا بَقِيَ- وَ جَعَلَ أَفْئِدَةً مِنَ النَّاسِ تَهْوِي إِلَيْنَا اغْفِرْ لِي وَ لِإِخْوَانِي وَ زُوَّارِ قَبْرِ أَبِيَ الْحُسَيْنِ الَّذِينَ أَنْفَقُوا أَمْوَالَهُمْ وَ أَشْخَصُوا أَبْدَانَهُمْ رَغْبَةً فِي بِرِّنَا وَ رَجَاءً لِمَا عِنْدَكَ فِي صِلَتِنَا وَ سُرُوراً أَدْخَلُوهُ عَلَى نَبِيِّكَ وَ إِجَابَةً مِنْهُمْ لِأَمْرِنَا وَ غَيْظاً أَدْخَلُوهُ عَلَى عَدُوِّنَا- أَرَادُوا بِذَلِكَ رِضَاكَ فَكَافِهِمْ عَنَّا بِالرِّضْوَانِ وَ اكْلَأْهُمْ بِاللَّيْلِ وَ النَّهَارِ وَ اخْلُفْ عَلَى أَهَالِيهِمْ وَ أَوْلَادِهِمُ الَّذِينَ خُلِّفُوا بِأَحْسَنِ الْخَلَفِ وَ اصْحَبْهُمْ وَ اكْفِهِمْ شَرَّ كُلِّ جَبَّارٍ عَنِيدٍ وَ كُلِّ ضَعِيفٍ مِنْ خَلْقِكَ وَ شَدِيدٍ وَ شَرَّ شَيَاطِينِ الْإِنْسِ وَ الْجِنِّ وَ أَعْطِهِمْ أَفْضَلَ مَا أَمَّلُوا مِنْكَ فِي غُرْبَتِهِمْ عَنْ أَوْطَانِهِمْ وَ مَا آثَرُونَا بِهِ عَلَى أَبْنَائِهِمْ وَ أَهَالِيهِمْ وَ قَرَابَاتِهِمْ اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّ أَعْدَاءَنَا عَابُوا عَلَيْهِمْ بِخُرُوجِهِمْ فَلَمْ يَنْهَهُمْ ذَلِكَ عَنِ الشُّخُوصِ إِلَيْنَا- خِلَافاً مِنْهُمْ عَلَى مَنْ خَالَفَنَا فَارْحَمْ تِلْكَ الْوُجُوهَ الَّتِي غَيَّرَتْهَا الشَّمْسُ وَ ارْحَمْ تِلْكَ الْخُدُودَ الَّتِي تَتَقَلَّبُ عَلَى حَضْرَةِ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْحُسَيْنِ (ع) وَ ارْحَمْ تِلْكَ الْأَعْيُنَ الَّتِي جَرَتْ دُمُوعُهَا رَحْمَةً لَنَا وَ ارْحَمْ تِلْكَ الْقُلُوبَ الَّتِي جَزِعَتْ وَ احْتَرَقَتْ لَنَا وَ ارْحَمْ تِلْكَ الصَّرْخَةَ الَّتِي كَانَتْ لَنَا اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْتَوْدِعُكَ تِلْكَ الْأَبْدَانَ وَ تِلْكَ الْأَنْفُسَ حَتَّى تُوَفِّيَهُمْ عَلَى الْحَوْضِ يَوْمَ الْعَطَشِ الْأَكْبَرِ فَمَا زَالَ يَدْعُو وَ هُوَ سَاجِدٌ بِهَذَا الدُّعَاءِ فَلَمَّا انْصَرَفَ قُلْتُ جُعِلْتُ فِدَاكَ لَوْ أَنَّ هَذَا الَّذِي سَمِعْتُ مِنْكَ كَانَ لِمَنْ لَا يَعْرِفُ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ لَظَنَنْتُ أَنَّ النَّارَ لَا تَطْعَمُ مِنْهُ شَيْئاً أَبَداً وَ اللَّهِ لَقَدْ تَمَنَّيْتُ أَنِّي كُنْتُ زُرْتُهُ وَ لَمْ أَحُجَّ فَقَالَ لِي مَا أَقْرَبَكَ مِنْهُ فَمَا الَّذِي يَمْنَعُكَ مِنْ زِيَارَتِهِ ثُمَّ قَالَ يَا مُعَاوِيَةُ لِمَ تَدَعُ ذَلِكَ قُلْتُ جُعِلْتُ فِدَاكَ لَمْ أَرَ أَنَّ الْأَمْرَ يَبْلُغُ هَذَا كُلَّهُ فَقَالَ يَا مُعَاوِيَةُ مَنْ يَدْعُو لِزُوَّارِهِ فِي السَّمَاءِ أَكْثَرُ مِمَّنْ يَدْعُو لَهُمْ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَ حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ الْحِمْيَرِيُّ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سَالِمٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ حَمَّادٍ الْبَصْرِيِّ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْأَصَمِّ عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ وَهْبٍ قَالَ اسْتَأْذَنْتُ عَلَى أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ (ع) وَ ذَكَرَ مِثْلَهُ

2. My father, Muĥammad ibn ‘Abdillāh, ‘Ali ibn Ĥusain, and Muĥammad ibn Ĥasan all narrated to me from ‘Abdillāh ibn Ja’far Al-Ĥimyari, from Mūsā ibn ‘Umar, from Ghassān Al-Bašri, from Mu’āwiyah ibn Wahab, who said: I asked permission to enter and see Abā ‘Abdillāh (Imam Šādiq (a.s.)). Once the permission was granted to me, I entered and found him on his MUŠALLĀ in his house (establishing prayers). I waited until he finished his prayers and then I heard him recite the following supplication: O Allāh! O One who has chosen us for honour, promised us the power of intercession, chosen us as the successors, given us the knowledge of that which has passed and that which remains, and made the hearts of some of the people yearn for us! (O Allāh) forgive me and my brothers – those who go to the Ziyārah of my father, Ĥusain (a.s.), and those who spend their wealth to travel, seeking to please us and hoping for (the reward) which You have prepared for connecting with us. They go (to the Ziyārah of Ĥusain (a.s.)) to make Your Prophet happy, to obey our commands, and to antagonize our enemies. By doing this, they want to please You. Therefore, reward them on our behalf by RIĎWĀN, protect them day and night, compensate their families and their children whom they left behind in the best way and befriend them, keep them away from the harm of every insolent tyrant and every weak or strong one from Your creation, keep them away from the evil of every devil from among the men and the Jinn, grant them the best of that which they have requested from You while they are away from their homes for having chosen us over their families, their children, and their relatives. O Allāh! Our enemies have criticized them for going (to our Ziyārah) but that did not stop them from coming to us and they went against those who are against us. So have mercy on those faces which have been changed by the sun. Have mercy on those cheeks which have rolled over the grave of Abǐ ‘Abdillāh Al-Ĥusain (a.s.). Have mercy on those eyes which have shed tears on us with sympathy. Have mercy on those hearts which have become restless and anguished for us and have mercy on their screams for us. O Allāh! I entrust those bodies and souls to You until the day of the great thirst when You will quench their thirst with the Pool (of Kawthar). Mu’āwiyah ibn Wahab continued: Imam (a.s.) kept repeating this supplication in prostration. When he finished, I said, “May I sacrifice myself for you! I think that if this supplication applies to even the people who do not know Allāh, the Great and Almighty, the fire (of Hell) will never touch them!!! I swear to Allāh that (now) I wish I had gone to his Ziyārah instead of going to Hajj.” Imam (a.s.) said, “You live so close to him. What prevents you from going to his Ziyārah? O Mu’āwiyah! Why do you neglect it?” I replied, “May I sacrifice myself for you! I did not think that it was this important.” Imam (a.s.) said, “O Mu’āwiyah! The number of those in the heavens who pray for those who go to the Ziyārah of Ĥusain (a.s.) is greater than those who pray for them on earth.” The above Ĥadǐth has also been narrated to me through the following chains: A) Muĥammad ibn ‘Abdillāh ibn Ja’far Al-Ĥimyari, from his father, from ‘Ali ibn Muĥammad ibn Sālim, from ‘Abdillāh ibn Ĥammād Al-Bašri, from ‘Abdillāh ibn ‘Abdil Raĥmān Al-Ašam, from Mu’āwiyah ibn Wahab, from Abǐ ‘Abdillāh (a.s.). B) My father, and all of my scholars, from Sa’d, from Aĥmad ibn Muĥammad ibn ‘Isā, from ‘Abdillāh ibn Ĥammād, from ‘Abdillāh Al-Ašam, from Mu’āwiyah ibn Wahab, from Abǐ ‘Abdillāh (a.s.). C) Muĥammad ibn Ĥusain ibn Mat Al-Jawhari, from Muĥammad ibn Aĥmad ibn Yaĥyā, from Mūsā ibn ‘Umar, from Ghassān Al-Bašri, from Mu’āwiyah ibn Wahab, from Abǐ ‘Abdillāh (a.s.). D) Muĥammad ibn Ya’qūb, and ‘Ali ibn Ĥusain, from ‘Ali ibn Ibrāhǐm ibn Hāshim, from some of our companions, from Ibrāhǐm ibn ‘Uqbah, from Mu’āwiyah ibn Wahab, from Abǐ ‘Abdillāh (a.s.). E) My father, ‘Ali ibn Ĥusain, and all of our scholars, from Aĥmad ibn Idrǐs, and from Muĥammad ibn Yaĥyā, from ‘Amraki ibn ‘Ali Al-Būfaki, from Yaĥyā – servant of Abǐ Ja’far the Second (Imam Jawād (a.s.)), from Ibn Abǐ ‘Umayr, from Mu’āwiyah ibn Wahab, from Abǐ ‘Abdillāh (a.s.).

3 حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي (رحمه الله) عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ عُمَرَ عَنْ حَسَّانَ [غَسَّانَ] الْبَصْرِيِّ عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ وَهْبٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ (ع) قَالَ قَالَ لِي يَا مُعَاوِيَةُ لَا تَدَعْ زِيَارَةَ الْحُسَيْنِ (ع) لِخَوْفٍ- فَإِنَّ مَنْ تَرَكَهُ رَأَى مِنَ الْحَسْرَةِ مَا يَتَمَنَّى أَنَّ قَبْرَهُ كَانَ عِنْدَهُ أَ مَا تُحِبُّ أَنْ يَرَى اللَّهُ شَخْصَكَ وَ سَوَادَكَ فِيمَنْ يَدْعُو لَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ (ص) وَ عَلِيٌّ وَ فَاطِمَةُ وَ الْأَئِمَّةُ ع- أَ مَا تُحِبُّ أَنْ تَكُونَ مِمَّنْ يَنْقَلِبُ بِالْمَغْفِرَةِ لِمَا مَضَى وَ يُغْفَرَ لَكَ ذُنُوبُ سَبْعِينَ سَنَةً أَ مَا تُحِبُّ أَنْ تَكُونَ مِمَّنْ يَخْرُجُ مِنَ الدُّنْيَا وَ لَيْسَ عَلَيْهِ ذَنْبٌ تتبع [يُتْبَعُ بِهِ أَ مَا تُحِبُّ أَنْ تَكُونَ غَداً مِمَّنْ يُصَافِحُهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ (ص) حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي (رحمه الله) وَ جَمَاعَةُ مَشَايِخِي عَنْ سَعْدٍ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ حَمَّادٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْأَصَمِّ عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ وَهْبٍ قَالَ اسْتَأْذَنْتُ عَلَى أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ (ع) وَ ذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ وَ الدُّعَاءَ لِزُوَّارِ الْحُسَيْنِ (ع) وَ حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ مَتٍّ الْجَوْهَرِيُّ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ يَحْيَى عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ عُمَرَ عَنْ عسان [غَسَّانَ] الْبَصْرِيِّ عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ وَهْبٍ وَ حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ وَ عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ هَاشِمٍ عَنْ بَعْضِ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ عُقْبَةَ عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ وَهْبٍ قَالَ اسْتَأْذَنْتُ عَلَى أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ (ع) وَ ذَكَرَ مِثْلَ حَدِيثِ الدُّعَاءِ الَّذِي فِي زُوَّارِ الْحُسَيْنِ (ع) حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي وَ عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ وَ جَمَاعَةُ مَشَايِخِنَا عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ إِدْرِيسَ وَ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَحْيَى جَمِيعاً عَنِ الْعَمْرَكِيِّ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ الْبُوفَكِيِّ عَنْ يَحْيَى خَادِمِ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ الثَّانِي (ع) عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ وَهْبٍ قَالَ اسْتَأْذَنْتُ عَلَى أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ (ع) وَ ذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ

3. My father narrated to me from Sa’d ibn ‘Abdillāh, from Mūsā ibn ‘Umar, from Ghassān Al-Bašri, from Mu’āwiyah ibn Wahab, who said: Abū ‘Abdillāh (Imam Šādiq (a.s.)) said to me: O Mu’āwiyah! Do not neglect going to the Ziyārah of Ĥusain (a.s.) because of fear. Verily he who abandons the Ziyārah of Ĥusain (a.s.) (for any reason) will regret it so much that he will wish that his grave was next to him. Do you not like Allāh to see you among those for whom the Messenger of Allāh, ‘Ali, Fāťimah, and the Imams (a.s.) pray?! Do you not like to be among those who return with forgiveness for their past sins and (do you not like) to return from his Ziyārah with seventy years of sins forgiven for you?! Do you not like to be among those who will not have any sins about which they will be questioned when they leave this life?! Do you not like to be among those whose hands the Messenger of Allāh (s.a.a.w.) will shake tomorrow (on the Day of Judgment)?!

4 حَدَّثَنِي حَكِيمُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ عَنْ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ الْوَشَّاءِ عَمَّنْ ذَكَرَهُ عَنْ دَاوُدَ بْنِ كَثِيرٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ إِنَّ فَاطِمَةَ بِنْتَ مُحَمَّدٍ (ص) تَحْضُرُ لِزُوَّارِ قَبْرِ ابْنِهَا الْحُسَيْنِ (ع) فَتَسْتَغْفِرُ لَهُمْ ذُنُوبَهُمْ

4. Ĥukaym ibn Dāwūd narrated to me from Salamah ibn Khaťťāb, from Ĥasan ibn ‘Ali Al-Washā, from someone whose name he mentioned, from Dāwūd ibn Kuthayr, who said: Abū ‘Abdillāh (Imam Šādiq (a.s.)) said: Verily Fāťimah (s.a.), the daughter of Muĥammad (s.a.a.w.), visits those who go to the Ziyārah of the grave of her son, Ĥusain (a.s.), and she seeks forgiveness for their sins.
