1 حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي (رحمه الله) وَ عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ عَنْ [عَلِيِّ بْنِ هَارُونَ] عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ هَاشِمٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ النَّوْفَلِيِّ عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ أَبِي زِيَادٍ السَّكُونِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ (ع) قَالَ اتَّخِذُوا الْحَمَامَ الرَّاعِبِيَّةَ فِي بُيُوتِكُمْ فَإِنَّهَا تَلْعَنُ قَتَلَةَ الْحُسَيْنِ ع

1. My father and ‘Ali ibn Ĥusain both narrated to me from ‘Ali ibn Ibrāhǐm ibn Hāshim, from his father, from Ĥusain ibn Yazǐd Al-Nawfali, from Ismā’ǐl ibn Abǐ Ziyād Al-Sakūni, who said: Abū ‘Abdillāh (Imam Šādiq (a.s.)) said: Choose pigeons as birds in your houses, for verily they curse the killers of Ĥusain (a.s.).

2 حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي وَ أَخِي وَ عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ وَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ جَمِيعاً عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ إِدْرِيسَ بْنِ أَحْمَدَ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْجَامُورَانِيِّ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي حَمْزَةَ عَنْ صَنْدَلٍ [صَفْوَانَ] عَنْ دَاوُدَ بْنِ فَرْقَدٍ قَالَ كُنْتُ جَالِساً فِي بَيْتِ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ (ع) فَنَظَرْتُ إِلَى الْحَمَامِ الرَّاعِبِيِّ يُقَرْقِرُ طَوِيلًا فَنَظَرَ إِلَيَّ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ (ع) فَقَالَ يَا دَاوُدُ أَ تَدْرِي مَا يَقُولُ هَذَا الطَّيْرُ قُلْتُ لَا وَ اللَّهِ جُعِلْتُ فِدَاكَ قَالَ تَدْعُو عَلَى قَتَلَةِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّع فَاتَّخِذُوهُ فِي مَنَازِلِكُمْ وَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي (رحمه الله) وَ جَمَاعَةُ مَشَايِخِي عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْجَامُورَانِيِّ بِإِسْنَادِهِ مِثْلَهُ

My father, my brother, ‘Ali ibn Ĥusain, and Muĥammad ibn Ĥasan all narrated to me from Aĥmad ibn Idrǐs ibn Aĥmad, from Abǐ ‘Abdillāh Al-Jāmūrāni, from Ĥasan ibn ‘Ali ibn Abǐ Ĥamzah, from Šandal/Šafwān, from Dāwūd ibn Farqad, who said: I was sitting in the house of Abǐ ‘Abdillāh (Imam Šādiq (a.s.)) and I saw a pigeon who was cooing for a long time. Then Abū ‘Abdillāh (a.s.) looked at me and asked, “O Dāwūd! Do you know what this bird is saying?” I replied, “May I sacrifice myself for you! No, I do not.” Imam (a.s.) said, “It is cursing the killers of Ĥusain ibn ‘Ali (a.s.). Therefore, choose pigeons as birds in your houses.” The above Ĥadǐth has also been narrated to me through the following chain: My father, and all of my scholars, from Sa’d ibn ‘Abdillāh, from Abǐ ‘Abdillāh Al-Jāmūrāni, from Ĥasan ibn ‘Ali ibn Abǐ Ĥamzah, from Šandal/Šafwān, from Dāwūd ibn Farqad, from Abǐ ‘Abdillāh (a.s.).
