1 حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي (رحمه الله) تَعَالَى وَ جَمَاعَةُ مَشَايِخِي عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى وَ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ أَبِي الْخَطَّابِ عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ بَشِيرٍ عَنْ حَمَّادٍ عَنْ كُلَيْبِ بْنِ مُعَاوِيَةَ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ (ع) قَالَ كَانَ قَاتِلُ يَحْيَى بْنِ زَكَرِيَّا وَلَدَ زِنًا وَ كَانَ قَاتِلُ الْحُسَيْنِ (ع) وَلَدَ زِناً وَ لَمْ تَبْكِ السَّمَاءُ إِلَّا عَلَيْهِمَا حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ وَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ جَمِيعاً عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِيِّ بْنِ مَهْزِيَارَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ عَنْ فَضَالَةَ بْنِ أَيُّوبَ عَنْ كُلَيْبِ بْنِ مُعَاوِيَةَ الْأَسَدِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ (ع) مِثْلَهُ

1. My father and all of my scholars narrated to me from Sa’d ibn ‘Abdillāh, from Aĥmad ibn Muĥammad ibn ‘Isā, and from Muĥammad ibn Ĥusain ibn Abil Khaťťāb, from Ja’far ibn Bashǐr, from Ĥammād, from Kulayb ibn Mu’āwiyah, who said: Abū ‘Abdillāh (Imam Šādiq (a.s.)) said: The killer of Yaĥyā ibn Zakariyyā (a.s.) was conceived illegitimately and the killer of Ĥusain (a.s.) (also) was conceived illegitimately. The sky has never cried on anyone but them. The above Ĥadǐth has also been narrated to me through the following chain: Muĥammad ibn Ĥasan, and Muĥammad ibn Aĥmad ibn Ĥusain, both from Ĥasan ibn ‘Ali ibn Mahziyār, from his father, from Ĥasan, from Faďālah ibn Ayyūb, from Kulayb ibn Mu’āwiyah Al-Asadi, from Abǐ ‘Abdillāh (a.s.).

2 وَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي (رحمه الله) عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ هَاشِمٍ عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شِمْرٍ عَنْ جَابِرٍ عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ (ع) قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ (ص) إِنَّ فِي النَّارِ لَمَنْزِلَةً لَمْ يَكُنْ يَسْتَحِقُّهَا أَحَدٌ مِنَ النَّاسِ إِلَّا قَاتِلُ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ وَ يَحْيَى بْنِ زَكَرِيَّا ع

2. My father narrated to me from Sa’d ibn ‘Abdillāh, from Ibrāhǐm ibn Hāshim, from ‘Uthmān ibn ‘Isā, from ‘Amr ibn Shimr, from Jābir (Al-Ju’fi), from Abǐ Ja’far (Imam Bāqir (a.s.)), who said: The Messenger of Allāh (s.a.a.w.) said: There is a position in Hell that no one deserves except the killer of Ĥusain ibn ‘Ali (a.s.) and the killer of Yahyā ibn Zakariyyā (a.s.).

3 حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي (رحمه الله) وَ عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِنَانٍ عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ جَابِرٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ (ع) قَالَ سَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ تُقْتَلُ وَ اللَّهِ ذَرَارِيُّ قَتَلَةِ الْحُسَيْنِ بِفِعْلِ آبَائِهَا

3. My father and ‘Ali ibn Ĥusain both narrated to me from Sa’d ibn ‘Abdillāh, from Aĥmad ibn Muĥammad, from Muĥammad ibn Sinān, from Ismā’ǐl ibn Jābir, who said: I heard Abā ‘Abdillāh (Imam Šādiq (a.s.)) say: I swear to Allāh that the descendants of the killers of Ĥusain (a.s.) will be killed for the acts of their fathers.

4 حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي (رحمه الله) وَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْحَسَنِ الصَّفَّارِ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنِ ابْنِ فَضَّالٍ عَنِ ابْنِ بُكَيْرٍ عَنْ زُرَارَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْخَالِقِ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ (ع) قَالَ كَانَ قَاتِلُ الْحُسَيْنِ (ع) وَلَدَ زِناً وَ قَاتِلُ يَحْيَى بْنِ زَكَرِيَّا وَلَدَ زِنًا

4. My father and Muĥammad ibn Ĥasan both narrated to me from Muĥammad ibn Ĥasan Al-Šaffār, from Aĥmad ibn Muĥammad ibn ‘Isā, from Ibn Faďďāl, from Ibn Bukayr, from Zurārah, from ‘Abdil Khāliq, who said: Abū ‘Abdillāh (Imam Šādiq (a.s.)) said: The killer of Ĥusain (a.s.) was conceived illegitimately and the killer of Yaĥyā ibn Zakariyyā (a.s.) was (also) conceived illegitimately.

5 حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ الْقُرَشِيُّ الرَّزَّازُ عَنْ خَالِهِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ أَبِي الْخَطَّابِ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ النُّعْمَانِ عَنْ مُثَنًّى عَنْ سَدِيرٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا جَعْفَرٍ (ع) يَقُولُ إِنَّ اللَّهَ جَعَلَ قَتْلَ أَوْلَادِ النَّبِيِّينَ مِنَ الْأُمَمِ الْمَاضِيَةِ- عَلَى يَدَيْ أَوْلَادِ زِنًا

5. Muĥammad ibn Ja’far Al-Qurashi Al-Razzāz narrated to me from his uncle Muĥammad ibn Ĥusain ibn Abil Khaťťāb, from ‘Ali ibn Nu’mān, from Muthannā, from Sadǐr, who said: I heard Abā Ja’far (Imam Bāqir (a.s.)) say: Verily Allāh has placed the killing of the children of the prophets from the previous nations in the hands of those who were conceived illegitimately.

6 وَ عَنْهُ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ عَنْ صَفْوَانَ بْنِ يَحْيَى عَنْ دَاوُدَ بْنِ فَرْقَدٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ (ع) قَالَ كَانَ الَّذِي قَتَلَ الْحُسَيْنَ بْنَ عَلِيٍّ (ع) وَلَدَ زِناً وَ الَّذِي قَتَلَ يَحْيَى بْنَ زَكَرِيَّا وَلَدَ زِنًا

6. Muĥammad ibn Ja’far Al-Qurashi Al-Razzāz narrated to me from Muĥammad ibn Ĥusain (ibn Abil Khaťťāb), from Šafwān ibn Yaĥyā, from Dāwūd ibn Farqad, who said: Abū ‘Abdillāh (Imam Šādiq (a.s.)) said: The killer of Ĥusain ibn ‘Ali (a.s.) was conceived illegitimately and the killer of Yaĥyā ibn Zakariyyā (a.s.) was (also) conceived illegitimately.

7 وَ عَنْهُ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَسْبَاطٍ عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ أَبِي زِيَادٍ عَنْ بَعْضِ رِجَالِهِ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ (ع) فِي قَوْلِ فِرْعَوْنَ ذَرُونِي أَقْتُلْ مُوسى فَقِيلَ لَهُ مَنْ كَانَ يَمْنَعُهُ قَالَ كَانَ لِرُشْدِهِ لِأَنَّ الْأَنْبِيَاءَ وَ الْحُجَجَ لَا يَقْتُلُهَا إِلَّا أَوْلَادُ زِنًا وَ الْبَغَايَا وَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي (رحمه الله) وَ جَمَاعَةُ مَشَايِخِي عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي خَلَفٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ بِهَذَا الْحَدِيثِ [بِهَذِهِ الْأَحَادِيثِ]

7. Muĥammad ibn Ja’far Al-Qurashi Al-Razzāz narrated to me from Muĥammad ibn Ĥusain (ibn Abil Khaťťāb), from ‘Ali ibn Asbāť, from Ismā’ǐl ibn Abǐ Ziyād, from some of his scholars, who said: Abū ‘Abdillāh (Imam Šādiq (a.s.)) was asked, “Who stopped Fir’awn from killing Mūsā (a.s.) which is referred to in this verse, ‘Fir’awn said, ‘Let me kill Mūsā’ (40:26)?” Imam (a.s.) replied, “(Fir’awn could not kill Mūsā (a.s.)) because he was conceived legitimately. Verily the prophets and the Decisive Proofs are only killed by those who are conceived illegitimately and by the children of adulteresses.” The above Ĥadǐth has also been narrated to me through the following chain: My father and all of my scholars, from Sa’d ibn ‘Abdillāh ibn Abǐ Khalaf, from Muĥammad ibn Ĥusain, from ‘Ali ibn Asbāť, from Ismā’ǐl ibn Abǐ Ziyād, from some of his scholars, from Abǐ ‘Abdillāh (a.s.). My father narrated to me from Sa’d ibn ‘Abdillāh, from Ibrāhǐm ibn Hāshim, from Ibn Abǐ ‘Umayr, from some of his companions, from Ibn Muskān, who said: Abū ‘Abdillāh (Imam Šādiq (a.s.)) said: The killer of Ĥusain ibn ‘Ali (a.s.) was conceived illegitimately.

8 وَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي (رحمه الله) عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ هَاشِمٍ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ بَعْضِ أَصْحَابِهِ عَنِ ابْنِ مُسْكَانَ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ (ع) قَالَ قَاتِلُ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ وَلَدُ زِنًا

8. My father and Muĥammad ibn Ĥasan both narrated to me from Sa’d ibn ‘Abdillāh, from Ibrāhǐm ibn Hāshim, from ‘Uthmān ibn ‘Isā, from ‘Amr ibn Shimr, from Jābir (Al-Ju’fi), who said: Abū Ja’far (Imam Bāqir (a.s.)) said: No one kills the prophets or their descendants except those who are conceived illegitimately.

9 وَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي (رحمه الله) وَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ هَاشِمٍ عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شِمْرٍ عَنْ جَابِرٍ عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ (ع) قَالَ لَا يَقْتُلُ النَّبِيِّينَ وَ أَوْلَادَ النَّبِيِّينَ إِلَّا أَوْلَادُ زِنًا

9. My father narrated to me from Sa’d ibn ‘Abdillāh, and from ‘Abdillāh ibn Ja’far Al-Ĥimyari, from Aĥmad ibn Abǐ ‘Abdillāh Al-Barqi, from his father Muĥammad ibn Khālid, from ‘Abdil ‘Aďǐm ibn ‘Abdillāh ibn ‘Ali Al-Ĥasani, from Ĥasan ibn Ĥusain Al-‘Amri, from Ĥusain ibn Shaddād Al-Ju’fi, from Jābir (Al-Ju’fi), who said: Abū Ja’far (Imam Bāqir (a.s.)) said: The Messenger of Allāh (s.a.a.w.) said, “No one kills the prophets or their descendants except those who are conceived illegitimately.”

10 حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي (رحمه الله) عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ وَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ الْحِمْيَرِيِّ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْبَرْقِيِّ عَنْ أَبِيهِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْعَظِيمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ الْحَسَنِيِّ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ الْعَمْرِيِّ عَنِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ شَدَّادٍ الْجُعْفِيِّ عَنْ جَابِرٍ عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ (ع) قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ (ص) لَا يَقْتُلُ الْأَنْبِيَاءَ وَ أَوْلَادَ الْأَنْبِيَاءِ إِلَّا وَلَدُ زِنًا

10. Muĥammad ibn Ĥasan ibn Aĥmad ibn Walǐd narrated to me from Muĥammad ibn Ĥasan Al-Šaffār, from Aĥmad ibn Muĥammad ibn ‘Isā, from Ĥasan ibn ‘Ali ibn Faďďāl, from Marwān ibn Muslim, from Ismā’ǐl ibn Kuthayr, who said: I heard Abā ‘Abdillāh (Imam Šādiq (a.s.)) say: The killer of Ĥusain ibn ‘Ali (a.s.) was conceived illegitimately and the killer of Yaĥyā ibn Zakariyyā (a.s.) (also) was conceived illegitimately. The sky and the earth have never cried on anyone but them.
