1 حَدَّثَنِي جَمَاعَةُ مَشَايِخِي عَنْ سَعْدٍ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ دَاوُدَ الصَّرْمِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ الثَّانِي (ع) قَالَ سَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ مَنْ زَارَ قَبْرَ أَبِي فَلَهُ الْجَنَّةُ

1. All of my scholars narrated to me from Sa’d (ibn ‘Abdillāh), from Aĥmad ibn Muĥammad ibn ‘Isā, from Dāwūd Al-Šarmi, who said: I heard Abā Ja’far the Second (Imam Jawād (a.s.)) say: Those who go to the Ziyārah of the grave of my father (Imam Riďā (a.s.)) will be rewarded with Paradise.

2 حَدَّثَنِي الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ دَاوُدَ الصَّرْمِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ الثَّانِي (ع) قَالَ سَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ مَنْ زَارَ قَبْرَ أَبِي فَلَهُ الْجَنَّةُ

2. Ĥasan ibn ‘Abdillāh narrated to me from his father ‘Abdillāh ibn Muĥammad ibn ‘Isā, from Dāwūd Al-Šarmi, who said: I heard Abā Ja’far the Second (Imam Jawād (a.s.)) say: Those who go to the Ziyārah of the grave of my father (a.s.) will be rewarded with Paradise.

3 حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي (رحمه الله) عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْجَعْفَرِيُّ عَنْ حَمْدَانَ الدسواي [الدَّسْتُوَائِيِّ قَالَ دَخَلْتُ عَلَى أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ الثَّانِي (ع) فَقُلْتُ مَا لِمَنْ زَارَ أَبَاكَ بِطُوسَ فَقَالَ (ع) مَنْ زَارَ قَبْرَ أَبِي بِطُوسَ غَفَرَ اللَّهُ لَهُ مَا تَقَدَّمَ مِنْ ذَنْبِهِ وَ مَا تَأَخَّرَ قَالَ حَمْدَانُ فَلَقِيتُ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ أَيُّوبَ بْنَ نُوحِ بْنِ دَرَّاجٍ فَقُلْتُ لَهُ يَا أَبَا الْحُسَيْنِ إِنِّي سَمِعْتُ مَوْلَايَ أَبَا جَعْفَرٍ (ع) يَقُولُ مَنْ زَارَ قَبْرَ أَبِي بِطُوسَ غَفَرَ اللَّهُ لَهُ مَا تَقَدَّمَ مِنْ ذَنْبِهِ وَ مَا تَأَخَّرَ فَقَالَ أَيُّوبُ وَ أَزِيدُكَ فِيهِ قُلْتُ نَعَمْ قَالَ سَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ ذَلِكَ يَعْنِي أَبَا جَعْفَرٍ وَ أَنَّهُ إِذَا كَانَ يَوْمُ الْقِيَامَةِ نُصِبَ لَهُ مِنْبَرٌ بِحِذَاءِ مِنْبَرِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ (ص) حَتَّى يَفْرُغَ النَّاسُ مِنَ الْحِسَابِ [حَتَّى يَفْرُغَ اللَّهُ مِنْ حِسَابِ الْخَلَائِقِ]

3. My father narrated to me from Sa’d ibn ‘Abdillāh, from ‘Ali ibn Ibrāhǐm Al-Ja’fari, from Ĥamdān Al-Daywāni, who said: I went to Abǐ Ja’far the Second (Imam Jawād (a.s.)) and asked him, “What is the reward for those who go to the Ziyārah of your father (a.s.) in Ťūs?” Imam (a.s.) replied, “Allāh forgives the past and future sins of those who go to the Ziyārah of the grave of my father (a.s.) in Ťūs.” Thereafter, I met with Ayyūb ibn Nūĥ ibn Durrāj and said to him, “O Abal Ĥusain! I heard my master, Abā Ja’far (Imam Jawād (a.s.)) say, ‘Allāh forgives the past and future sins of those who go to the Ziyārah of the grave of my father (a.s.) in Ťūs.” Ayyūb said, “Should I tell you more about this?” I replied, “Yes.” He said, “I heard him – referring to Abǐ Ja’far (Imam Jawād (a.s.)) – say, ‘Verily on the Day of Judgment, a pulpit will be placed beside the pulpit of the Messenger of Allāh (s.a.a.w.) for those who go to the Ziyārah of my father (a.s.) (and they will sit on it) while the rest of the people complete the judgment process.”

4 قَالَ أَبِي (رحمه الله) قَالَ سَعْدٌ حَدَّثَنِي عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ النَّيْسَابُورِيُّ الدَّقَّاقُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو صَالِحٍ شُعَيْبُ بْنُ عِيسَى قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي صَالِحُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْهَمَدَانِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ النَّهَاوَنْدِيُّ قَالَ قَالَ أَبُو الْحَسَنِ الرِّضَا (ع) مَنْ زَارَنِي عَلَى بُعْدِ دَارِي وَ شُطُونِ مَزَارِي أَتَيْتُهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ فِي ثَلَاثِ مَوَاطِنَ حَتَّى أُخَلِّصَهُ مِنْ أَهْوَالِهَا إِذَا تَطَايَرَتِ الْكُتُبُ يَمِيناً وَ شِمَالًا وَ عِنْدَ الصِّرَاطِ وَ عِنْدَ الْمِيزَانِ قَالَ سَعْدٌ وَ سَمِعْتُهُ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ مِنْ صَالِحِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ الْهَمَدَانِيِّ

4. My father narrated to me from Sa’d, from ‘Ali ibn Ĥusain Al-Naysābūri Al-Daqqāq, from Abǐ Šāliĥ Shu’ayb ibn ‘Isā, from Šāliĥ ibn Muĥammad Al-Hamdāni, from Ibrāhǐm ibn Isĥāq Al-Nahāwandi, who said: Abul Ĥasan (Imam Riďā (a.s.)) said: Those who come to my Ziyārah, even though my house is far and my grave is distant, will be visited by me on three occasions on the Day of Judgment and I will save them from its terrors: when the books will be spread to the right and left, at the Bridge, and by the Scale. Sa’d added: Later, I heard this Ĥadǐth from Šāliĥ ibn Muĥammad Al-Hamdāni himself.

5 حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي عَنْ سَعْدٍ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ رَيَّانَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الْحُسَيْنِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ قُطْرُبٍ عَنْ أَبِي الْحَسَنِ مُوسَى (ع) قَالَ مَرَّ بِهِ ابْنُهُ وَ هُوَ شَابٌّ حَدَثٌ وَ بَنُوهُ مُجْتَمِعُونَ عِنْدَهُ فَقَالَ إِنَّ ابْنِي هَذَا يَمُوتُ فِي أَرْضِ غُرْبَةٍ فَمَنْ زَارَهُ مُسَلِّماً لِأَمْرِهِ عَارِفاً بِحَقِّهِ كَانَ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ كَشُهَدَاءِ بَدْرٍ

5. My father narrated to me from Sa’d, from Ibrāhǐm ibn Rayyān, from Yaĥyā ibn Ĥasan Al-Ĥusaini, from ‘Ali ibn ‘Abdillāh ibn Quťrub, who said: One day when the children of Abil Ĥasan, Mūsā (Imam Kāżim (a.s.)), were gathered around him, his son (Imam Riďā (a.s.)), who was young at the time, passed by him. Imam (Kāżim (a.s.)) said: This son of mine will die lonely in a distant land. Verily those who go to his Ziyārah while submitting to him and knowing his rights will be regarded by Allāh, the Great and Almighty, as the martyrs of (the Battle of) Badr.

6 حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي وَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ حَمْدَانَ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا جَعْفَرٍ (ع) أَوْ حُكِيَ لِي عَنْ رَجُلٍ عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ (ع) الشَّكُّ مِنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ قَالَ قَالَ أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ (ع) مَنْ زَارَ قَبْرَ أَبِي بِطُوسَ غَفَرَ اللَّهُ لَهُ مَا تَقَدَّمَ مِنْ ذَنْبِهِ وَ مَا تَأَخَّرَ قَالَ فَحَجَجْتُ بَعْدَ الزِّيَارَةِ فَلَقِيتُ أَيُّوبَ بْنَ نُوحٍ فَقَالَ لِي أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ (ع) مَنْ زَارَ قَبْرَ أَبِي بِطُوسَ غَفَرَ اللَّهُ لَهُ مَا تَقَدَّمَ مِنْ ذَنْبِهِ وَ مَا تَأَخَّرَ وَ بَنَى لَهُ مِنْبَراً بِحِذَاءِ مِنْبَرِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ (ص) وَ عَلِيٍّ (ع) حَتَّى يَفْرُغَ اللَّهُ مِنْ حِسَابِ الْخَلَائِقِ فَرَأَيْتُ أَيُّوبَ بْنَ نُوحٍ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ وَ قَدْ زَارَ فَقَالَ جِئْتُ أَطْلُبُ الْمِنْبَرَ

6. My father and Muĥammad ibn Ya’qūb both narrated to me from ‘Ali ibn Ibrāhǐm, from Ĥamdān ibn Isĥāq, who said: I heard – or a man heard – Abā Ja’far (Imam Jawād (a.s.)) say, “Allāh forgives the past and future sins of those who go to the Ziyārah of the grave of my father (a.s.) in Ťūs.” After performing the Ziyārah, I went for Hajj where I met Ayyūb ibn Nūĥ. He said to me, “Abū Ja’far (Imam Jawād (a.s.)) has said, ‘Allāh forgives the past and future sins of those who go to the Ziyārah of the grave of my father (a.s.) in Ťūs and (on the Day of Judgment) He will set up a pulpit for them beside the pulpit of the Messenger of Allāh (s.a.a.w.) and the pulpit of ‘Ali (a.s.) where they will sit until Allāh finishes judging the creation.” Thereafter, I met with Ayyūb ibn Nūĥ again and he had come to the Ziyārah (of Imam Riďā (a.s.)) and he said, “I have come seeking the pulpit!” The above Ĥadǐth has also been narrated to me through the following chain: Muĥammad ibn Ya’qūb, ‘Ali ibn Ĥusain, and others, from ‘Ali ibn Ibrāhǐm, from Ĥamdān ibn Isĥāq, from Abǐ Ja’far (a.s.) – or from someone from Abǐ Ja’far (a.s.).

7 حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي وَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ وَ عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ جَمِيعاً عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي خَلَفٍ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِيِّ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ عَنِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ سَيْفِ بْنِ عَمِيرَةَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ الْجَبَلِيِّ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ قَالَ سَأَلْتُ أَبَا جَعْفَرٍ (ع) عَنْ رَجُلٍ حَجَّ حِجَّةَ الْإِسْلَامِ- فَدَخَلَ مُتَمَتِّعاً بِالْعُمْرَةِ إِلَى الْحَجِّ فَأَعَانَهُ اللَّهُ عَلَى حَجِّهِ وَ عَلَى عُمْرَتِهِ ثُمَّ أَتَى الْمَدِينَةَ فَسَلَّمَ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ثُمَّ أَتَاكَ عَارِفاً بِحَقِّكَ يَعْلَمُ أَنَّكَ حُجَّةُ اللَّهِ عَلَى خَلْقِهِ وَ بَابُهُ الَّذِي يُؤْتَى مِنْهُ فَسَلَّمَ عَلَيْكَ ثُمَّ أَتَى أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْحُسَيْنَ (ع) فَسَلَّمَ عَلَيْهِ ثُمَّ أَتَى بَغْدَادَ فَسَلَّمَ عَلَى أَبِي الْحَسَنِ مُوسَى بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ (ع) ثُمَّ انْصَرَفَ إِلَى بِلَادِهِ فَلَمَّا كَانَ وَقْتُ الْحَجِّ رَزَقَهُ اللَّهُ مَا يَحُجُّ بِهِ فَأَيُّهُمَا أَفْضَلُ لِهَذَا الَّذِي قَدْ حَجَّ حِجَّةَ الْإِسْلَامِ يَرْجِعُ فَيَحُجُّ أَيْضاً أَوْ يَخْرُجُ إِلَى خُرَاسَانَ إِلَى أَبِيكَ عَلِيِّ بْنِ مُوسَى الرِّضَا (ع) فَيُسَلِّمُ عَلَيْهِ قَالَ بَلْ يَأْتِي خُرَاسَانَ فَيُسَلِّمُ عَلَى أَبِي الْحَسَنِ أَفْضَلُ وَ لْيَكُنْ ذَلِكَ فِي رَجَبٍ وَ لَكِنْ لَا يَنْبَغِي أَنْ يَفْعَلُوا هَذَا الْيَوْمَ فَإِنَّ عَلَيْنَا وَ عَلَيْكُمْ خَوْفاً مِنَ السُّلْطَانِ وَ شُنْعَةً

7. My father, Muĥammad ibn Ĥasan, and ‘Ali ibn Ĥusain all narrated to me from Sa’d ibn ‘Abdillāh ibn Abǐ Khalaf, from Ĥasan ibn ‘Ali ibn ‘Abdillāh ibn Mughǐrah, from Ĥusain ibn Sayf ibn ‘Amǐrah, from Muĥammad ibn Aslam Al-Jabali, from Muĥammad ibn Sulaymān, who said: I said to Abǐ Ja’far (Imam Jawād (a.s.)): (Let’s assume there is) a person (who) decides to go to Hajj to perform his obligatory Hajj after having performed the ‘Umrah of Tamattu’ and Allāh helps him and he completes his Hajj and ‘Umrah. Then he goes to Madǐnah and says Salām to the Messenger of Allāh (s.a.a.w.), then comes to you, while believing in your rights and knowing that you are Allāh’s Decisive Proof on His creation and the door which leads to Allāh, and says Salām to you. Thereafter, he goes to (the Ziyārah of) Abǐ ‘Abdillāh Al-Ĥusain (a.s.) and says Salām to him, and then he goes to Baghdād and says Salām to Abil Ĥasan, Mūsā ibn Ja’far (Imam Kāżim (a.s.)), and then returns to his home country. If Allāh sustains this person in the next year with enough wealth to go for Hajj again, is it better for him to repeat the Hajj as he did in the last year or to go to Khurāsān to (the Ziyārah of) your father, ‘Ali ibn Mūsā Al-Riďā (a.s.), and say Salām to him? Imam (a.s.) replied: It is better to go to Khurāsān and say Salām to Abil Ĥasan (Imam Riďā (a.s.)). He should go in the month of Rajab but this is not applicable now because there is fear for us and for you from the King and it outrages him.”

8 حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ أَحْمَدَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْحَسَنِ الصَّفَّارِ عَنِ الْعَبَّاسِ بْنِ مَعْرُوفٍ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ مَهْزِيَارَ قَالَ قُلْتُ لِأَبِي جَعْفَرٍ الثَّانِي (ع) مَا لِمَنْ زَارَ قَبْرَ الرِّضَا (ع) قَالَ فَلَهُ الْجَنَّةُ وَ اللَّهِ

8. Muĥammad ibn Ĥasan ibn Aĥmad narrated to me from Muĥammad ibn Ĥasan Al-Šaffār, from ‘Abbās ibn Ma’rūf, from ‘Ali ibn Mahziyār, who said: I asked Abā Ja’far (Imam Jawād (a.s.)), “What is the reward for those who go to the Ziyārah of the grave of Imam Riďā (a.s.)?” Imam (a.s.) replied, “I swear to Allāh that their reward is Paradise.”

9 حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْحَسَنِ الصَّفَّارِ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِي نَصْرٍ الْبَزَنْطِيِّ قَالَ قَرَأْتُ فِي كِتَابِ أَبِي الْحَسَنِ الرِّضَا (ع) أَبْلِغْ شِيعَتِي أَنَّ زِيَارَتِي تَعْدِلُ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ أَلْفَ حِجَّةٍ- قَالَ فَقُلْتُ لِأَبِي جَعْفَرٍ (ع) أَلْفَ حِجَّةٍ قَالَ إِي وَ اللَّهِ وَ أَلْفَ أَلْفِ حِجَّةٍ لِمَنْ زَارَهُ عَارِفاً بِحَقِّهِ

9. Muĥammad ibn Ĥasan narrated to me from Muĥammad ibn Ĥasan Al-Šaffār, from Aĥmad ibn Muĥammad ibn ‘Isā, from Aĥmad ibn Muĥammad ibn Abǐ Našr Al-Bizanťi, who said: I read the following in the letter of Abil Ĥasan Al-Riďā (a.s.): Tell my Shia that coming to my Ziyārah in the eyes of Allāh is equal to performing one thousand Hajj. So I asked Abā Ja’far (Imam Jawād (a.s.)), “One thousand Hajj!?” Imam (a.s.) replied, “I swear to Allah, yes! And (the reward is) one million Hajj for those who go to his Ziyārah while knowing his rights.”

10 حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي وَ عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ وَ عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ قُولَوَيْهِ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ هَاشِمٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ زَيْدٍ النَّرْسِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي الْحَسَنِ مُوسَى بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ (ع) قَالَ مَنْ زَارَ ابْنِي هَذَا وَ أَوْمَأَ إِلَى أَبِي الْحَسَنِ الرِّضَا (ع) فَلَهُ الْجَنَّةُ

10. My father, ‘Ali ibn Ĥusain, and (my brother) ‘Ali ibn Muĥammad ibn Qūlawayh all narrated to me from ‘Ali ibn Ibrāhǐm ibn Hāshim, from his father, from Ibn Abǐ ‘Umayr, from Zayd Al-Narsi, who said: Abul Ĥasan, Mūsā ibn Ja’far (Imam Kāżim (a.s.)) said: Those who go to the Ziyārah of this son of mine – and pointed to Abil Ĥasan Al-Riďā (a.s.) – will be rewarded with Paradise.

11 حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ وَ عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ وَ غَيْرُهُمَا عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ مَهْزِيَارَ قَالَ قُلْتُ لِأَبِي جَعْفَرٍ (ع) جُعِلْتُ فِدَاكَ زِيَارَةُ الرِّضَا أَفْضَلُ أَمْ زِيَارَةُ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ (ع) قَالَ زِيَارَةُ أَبِي أَفْضَلُ- وَ ذَلِكَ أَنَّ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ (ع) يَزُورُهُ كُلُّ النَّاسِ وَ أَبِي لَا يَزُورُهُ إِلَّا الْخَوَاصُّ مِنَ الشِّيعَةِ

11. Muĥammad ibn Ya’qūb, ‘Ali ibn Ĥusain, and others narrated to me from ‘Ali ibn Ibrāhǐm, from his father, from ‘Ali ibn Mahziyār, who said: I asked Abā Ja’far (Imam Jawād (a.s.)), “May I sacrifice myself for you! Is (going to) the Ziyārah of Imam Riďā (a.s.) better or (going to) the Ziyārah of Abǐ ‘Abdillāh, Ĥusain ibn ‘Ali (a.s.)?” Imam (a.s.) replied, “(Going to) the Ziyārah of my father (a.s.) is better. The reason is that everyone goes to the Ziyārah of Abǐ ‘Abdillāh (Imam Ĥusain (a.s.)) but only the chosen ones from among the Shia go to the Ziyārah of my father (a.s.).”

12 وَ عَنْهُمْ رَحِمَهُمُ اللَّهُ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ حَمْدَانَ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا جَعْفَرٍ (ع) أَوْ حَكَى لِي رَجُلٌ عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ (ع) الشَّكُّ مِنْ عَلِيٍّ يَقُولُ وَ ذَكَرَ مِثْلَ حَدِيثِ أَيُّوبَ بْنِ نُوحٍ حَدِيثَ الْمِنْبَرِ

12. Muĥammad ibn Ya’qūb narrated to me from Muĥammad ibn Yaĥyā Al-‘Attār, from ‘Ali ibn Ĥusain Al-Naysābūri, from Ibrāhǐm ibn Muĥammad, from ‘Abdil Raĥmān ibn Sa’ǐd Al-Makki, from Yaĥyā ibn Sulaymān Al-Māzini, who said: Abul Ĥasan, Mūsā ibn Ja’far (Imam Kāżim (a.s.)) said, “Allāh will register seventy accepted Hajj for those who go to the Ziyārah of the grave of my son (Imam Riďā (a.s.)).” I asked, “Seventy Hajj?!” Imam (a.s.) replied, “Yes and even seven hundred Hajj.” I asked, “Seven hundred Hajj?!!” Imam (a.s.) replied, “Yes and even seventy thousand Hajj.” I asked, “Seventy thousand Hajj?!!!” Imam (a.s.) replied, “Yes and going to Hajj is not always accepted. Verily those who go to his Ziyārah and spend the night next to him are like those who go to the Ziyārah of Allāh on His Throne.” I asked, “Like those who go to the Ziyārah of Allāh on His Throne?!!!!” Imam (a.s.) replied: Yes! On the Day of Judgment, there will be four people from the past (nations) and four people from the last (nation) on the Throne of Allāh. The four who are from the past (nations) are Nūĥ, Ibrāhǐm, Mūsā, and ‘Isā (a.s.) and the four people from the last (nation) are Muĥammad, ‘Ali, Ĥasan, and Ĥusain – may Allāh’s blessings be upon all of them. Then a barrier will be extended and (only) those who have gone to the Ziyārah of the graves of the Imams (a.s.) will sit with us. Verily the highest ones in rank and the closest ones to us who will be honoured will be those who have gone to the Ziyārah of the grave of my son, ‘Ali (a.s.). The above Ĥadǐth has also been narrated to me through the following chain: My father, from Sa’d ibn ‘Abdillāh, from ‘Ali ibn Ĥusain Al-Naysābūri, from Ibrāhǐm ibn Riyāb, through the above Isnād from Abil Ĥasan, Mūsā ibn Ja’far (a.s.).
