 أَبِی ره قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سَعْدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِیسَی عَنِ الْحُسَیْنِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِی عُمَیْرٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْحَجَّاجِ عَنْ أَبَانِ بْنِ تَغْلِبَ قَالَ قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع یَا أَبَانُ هَذِهِ الصَّلَوَاتُ الْخَمْسُ الْمَفْرُوضَاتُ مَنْ أَقَامَهُنَّ وَ حَافَظَ عَلَی مَوَاقِیتِهِنَّ لَقِیَ اللَّهَ یَوْمَ الْقِیَامَهِ وَ لَهُ عِنْدَهُ عَهْدٌ یُدْخِلُهُ بِهِ الْجَنَّهَ وَ مَنْ لَمْ یُصَلِّهِنَّ لِمَوَاقِیتِهِنَّ فَذَلِکَ إِلَیْهِ إِنْ شَاءَ غَفَرَ لَهُ وَ إِنْ شَاءَ عَذَّبَهُ.

1.  Imam Ja’far Sadiq (a.s.) says, “O Abaan! One who offers obligatory prayers five times and that too on prime time, he will go to Allah with an assurance on the Day of Judgment and Allah would make him enter Paradise. And for a person who did not offer prayers on time, Allah has choice whether to punish him or forgive him.”

 وَ بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ عَنِ الْحُسَیْنِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِی عُمَیْرٍ عَنْ إِسْمَاعِیلَ الْبَصْرِیِّ عَنِ الْفَضْلِ عَنْ أَبِی عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع قَالَ: دَخَلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ص الْمَسْجِدَ وَ فِیهِ نَاسٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِهِ قَالَ تَدْرُونَ مَا قَالَ رَبُّکُمْ قَالُوا اللَّهُ وَ رَسُولُهُ أَعْلَمُ قَالَ إِنَّ رَبَّکُمْ یَقُولُ هَذِهِ الصَّلَوَاتُ الْخَمْسُ الْمَفْرُوضَاتُ فَمَنْ صَلَّاهُنَّ لِوَقْتِهِنَّ وَ حَافَظَ عَلَیْهِنَّ لَقِیَنِی یَوْمَ الْقِیَامَهِ وَ لَهُ عِنْدِی عَهْدٌ أُدْخِلُهُ بِهِ الْجَنَّهَ وَ مَنْ لَمْ یُصَلِّهِنَّ لِوَقْتِهِنَّ وَ لَمْ یُحَافِظْ عَلَیْهِنَّ فَذَلِکَ إِلَیَّ إِنْ شِئْتُ عَذَّبْتُهُ وَ إِنْ شِئْتُ غَفَرْتُ لَهُ.

2. And from the previous chain from al-Hussain b. Sa’d from Ibn Abi ’Umayr from Ismail al-Basri from al-Fadhl from Abi Abdillah (a.s.) who said: ‘One who offers obligatory prayers five times and that too on prime time, he will come to Me with an assurance on the Day of Judgment and I would make him enter Paradise. And for a person who did not offer prayers on time, I have choice whether to punish him or forgive him’.”
