 حَدَّثَنِی مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِی مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الصَّفَّارُ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْحُسَیْنِ بْنِ أَبِی الْخَطَّابِ عَنْ عَلِیِّ بْنِ أَسْبَاطٍ عَنْ یَحْیَی بْنِ بَشِیرٍ عَنِ الْمَسْعُودِیِّ قَالَ قَالَ أَمِیرُ الْمُؤْمِنِینَ ع مَنْ تَابَ تَابَ اللَّهُ عَلَیْهِ وَ أُمِرَتْ جَوَارِحُهُ أَنْ تَسْتُرَ عَلَیْهِ وَ بِقَاعُ الْأَرْضِ أَنْ تَکْتُمَ عَلَیْهِ وَ أُنْسِیَتِ الْحَفَظَهُ مَا کَانَتْ تَکْتُبُ عَلَیْهِ.

1.  Amirul Momineen (a.s.) said, “Allah will forgive one who repents to Him. The parts of his body and the earth will be ordered  to  hide  his  sins.  The  angels  who  note  down  the deeds of a person will be made to forget the sins.”

 أَبِی ره عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ یَعْقُوبَ بْنِ یَزِیدَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِی عُمَیْرٍ عَنْ سَلَمَهَ بَیَّاعِ السَّابِرِیِّ عَنْ رَجُلٍ عَنْ أَبِی جَعْفَرٍ ع قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ص مَنْ تَابَ فِی سَنَهٍ تَابَ اللَّهُ عَلَیْهِ ثُمَّ قَالَ إِنَّ السَّنَهَ لَکَثِیرَهٌ ثُمَّ قَالَ مَنْ تَابَ فِی شَهْرٍ تَابَ اللَّهُ عَلَیْهِ ثُمَّ قَالَ إِنَّ الشَّهْرَ لَکَثِیرٌ ثُمَّ قَالَ مَنْ تَابَ فِی یَوْمِهِ تَابَ اللَّهُ عَلَیْهِ ثُمَّ قَالَ إِنَّ یَوْماً لَکَثِیرٌ ثُمَّ قَالَ مَنْ تَابَ إِذَا بَلَغَتْ نَفْسُهُ هَذِهِ یَعْنِی حَلْقَهُ تَابَ اللَّهُ عَلَیْهِ.

2.  Imam  Muhammad  Baqir  (a.s.)  narrates  that  the  Holy Prophet (s.a.w.s.) said, “One who repents a year before his death, Allah will forgive him.” Then he said, “A year is too much;  Allah  will  forgive  even  one  who  repents  a  month before his death.” Then he said, “A month is also too much, Allah will forgive even one who repents a day before his death. Then he  said, “A day  is  also too much, Allah will forgive even one who repents just a moment before death.”

 حَدَّثَنِی مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِیٍّ مَاجِیلَوَیْهِ عَنْ عَلِیِّ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِیمَ بْنِ هَاشِمٍ عَنْ أَبِیهِ عَنِ النَّوْفَلِیِّ عَنِ السَّکُونِیِّ عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ الصَّادِقِ عَنْ أَبِیهِ عَنْ آبَائِهِ ع قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ص إِنَّ لِلَّهِ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ فُضُولًا مِنْ رِزْقِهِ یَنْحَلُهُ مَنْ یَشَاءُ مِنْ خَلْقِهِ وَ اللَّهُ بَاسِطٌ یَدَیْهِ عِنْدَ کُلِّ فَجْرٍ لِمُذْنِبِ اللَّیْلِ هَلْ یَتُوبُ فَیَغْفِرَ لَهُ وَ یَبْسُطُ یَدَیْهِ عِنْدَ مَغِیبِ الشَّمْسِ لِمُذْنِبِ النَّهَارِ هَلْ یَتُوبُ فَیَغْفِرَ لَهُ.

3.  Imam Ja’far Sadiq (a.s.) narrates from his predecessors that the  Holy  Prophet  (s.a.w.s.)  said,  “Allah  gives  abundant sustenance to whomsoever He desires. Similarly the mercy of    Allah is spread far and wide for the sinners day and night waiting for the person to repent and be forgiven. The mercy of Allah waits at sunset for the people who committed sins during the day to repent and get themselves forgiven.”
